hope and security? A sense that God is working around you, but without an acute awareness of His
presence?
God wants you to know Him

to accept that gift. God does not promise an easier life, but He does promise a more fulfilling life. And He
promises that after we die, He will raise us to life again and give us everlasting life with Him forever.

and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?" - John 11:25-26

Admit that you cannot save yourself.
You cannot save yourself by being good, baptized or confirmed. Only God can decide the means of
forgiveness and salvation, and He declared that people can be saved only through Jesus' obedient sacrifice.
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a
result of works, so that no one may boast. - Ephesians 2:8
