CHRIST THE KING This weekend our Youth Evangelisation Team will be helping with our
9.45am Mass. To mark the Feast of Christ the King we will also have Adoration of the Blessed
Sacrament from 12.00noon-3.00pm this Sunday, 22nd November. Representatives from the
different groups in our Parish are invited to come along for a short time to Pray privately for
Gods blessing upon their area of Parish life.
CONGRATULATIONS to Teddy Patrick Stephen Patterson, who is to be Baptised on
Saturday, 28th November. Please pray for his parents, grandparents and his Godparents. Also
CONGRATULATIONS to Natasha Broumpton and Adam Smith who are to be Married on
Saturday, 28th November. We wish them every blessing.
DECEASED Please pray for Gerard Morgan RIP who died recently, his Funeral service will be
on Tuesday, 24th November at 12noon at Slough Crematorium. Also please pray for Alida Bavin
who died recently, her Funeral Service will be on Monday, 30th November at 1.00pm at St
Gilberts, Eton Wick, followed by burial at St Johns, Eton Wick. May their souls and the souls of
all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen

SLOUGH SLEEPOUT FOR THE HOMELESS Here is your chance to get involved and make a
real difference do not let this opportunity pass you by! Friday 27th November - St Bernards
School, Slough from 6.30pm until 6.00am the following morning!! We are organising our
very first sponsored Sleepout to raise funds for the Homeless Emergency Winter Night
Shelter, now in our third year, we are aiming to re-open on 4th January 2016. The sleep will be
fully managed outdoors. We will provide the cardboard boxes, but you will need to dress for the
prevailing weather and bring your own sleeping bag etc. You will be joining many others for a
night of solidarity which promises to be full of entertainment, food and funsomething you will
never forget!

HELPERS WANTED ON THE NIGHT If you cannot sleep out all night, we are also looking for
helpers and crew to assist across different parts of the evening. If you would like to volunteer

LOCAL BUSINESSES Would you like to help? Can you communicate the Slough Sleepout for
the Homeless to your employees? Do you have anything you would like to donate such as food,
cardboard boxes or other services that would help towards the success of the evening? If so,

your friends and spend one amazing night sleeping outside together! You will not regret it! Get
involved and support those who are less fortunate than ourselves. Please note that on this, our
first sleep out, there is a minimum age limit of 18 for those sleeping or volunteering overnight.

SPIRIT AND LIGHT WORSHIP evening will be held at St Andrews, on Friday, 27th November at
8.00pm. The evening, led by Fr Andy, will begin with a teaching and a reflection followed by

CHURCH CLEANING will be on Saturday, 28th November at 9.00am. Please try and spare an
hour to help.
PASTORAL AREA OF ST PETER, SLOUGH A day in preparation for The Holy Year of Mercy,
led by Fr Michael Spain OCD (Prior of St Josephs, Gerrards Cross) on Saturday, 28th November
from 10.00am-2.00pm at Holy Family Church, Langley. Please bring a packed lunch.
CHILDREN'S LITURGY OF THE WORD AT OUR LADY OF
PEACE commences next Sunday 29th November at 9.45am
Mass. All children who attend school reception class through to
year two (ages 4-7) are invited. A separate Liturgy of the Word with
children is an opportunity for the children to hear God's word using a simpler version of scripture
from a children's lectionary, explore the meaning of Sunday's Gospel and be helped to make an
appropriate response in prayer and action. For more information, or if you are interested in

CHILDRENS LITURGY at St Andrew's starts on the first Sunday of Advent, Sunday 29th
November at 11.30am Mass. Volunteers, on a monthly rota, from St Andrews are offering their
services to pass the word of the Gospel to children attending Holy Mass. All children between
the ages of 2 and under 8 years old are warmly invited. Parents and Grandparents also
welcome.
ST ANDREW'S DAY Monday, 30th November at 7.00pm celebrating 45 years of sharing
together in St Andrew's Church. A Service of Evening Prayer led by our Area Deans, Rev Kevin
O Driscoll and the Rev Rod Cosh. After the service refreshments will be served.
BAPTISM PREPARATION COURSE The next Baptism Preparation course that Deacon Marek
will be running begins on Wednesday, 2nd December at 6.00pm and will be held in the Sacristy
at Our Lady of Peace. If you wish for your child to be Baptised over the next few months, you will
need to attend the course. This is especially important for first time parents. If you have not
already advised that you will be attending, please contact Yvonne on 01628 605764.
ECUMENICAL ADVENT SERVICE Our Lady of Peace will be hosting this year's Churches
Together in Burnham Advent Service on Sunday, 6th December at 3.00pm. All welcome to come
along and host our Christian brothers and sisters in a joint time of prayer and praise.
ADVENT RECONCILIATION SERVICE To mark the beginning of the Year of Mercy, we will be
having a celebration Mass at Our Lady of Peace on Tuesday, 8th December at 7.00pm followed
immediately by an opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation with visiting priests.
