POPULATION QUIZ and ON-THE-SPOT SKILLS EXHIBITION
Dignity and Protection of Vulnerable Population in Emergencies

I.

Objectives:
To select the potential representative of Tuy National High School (TNHS) for the
upcoming area level of Population Quiz and On-the-Spot Skills Exhibition
To provide student essential learnings of what is happening with his/her environment
To be able to inculcate the sense of oneness in terms of emergencies

II.

Focus of the Activity:


As a response to the Memorandum No. 35415 with its subject Addendum and
Corrigendum to Division Memorandum No. 34015 RE: Quiz and On-the-Spot Skills
Exhibition with its theme Dignity and Protection of Vulnerable Population in Emergencies is
the conducted school-based competition on November 5, 2015. The conducted schoolbased competition is the preparation for the forthcoming area level competition. The
participants of the said competition are from all grade levels of TNHS.
School-based Population Quiz was facilitated by Mr. Jehlimar Manalo, with him, in
validating the transparency of the result were Mr. Ernie Paraiso for tallying the scores and
Mrs. Windy Bugagao for documentation. The competition started at exactly 2 PM and ended
at approximately 3:30 PM at Grade 8 Matiyaga classroom. The 1 st placer who will be
representing TNHS for the forthcoming area level competition was Mark Anthony Tumbaga
of Grade 10 - Matapat, 2nd placer was Nemuel De Guzman of Grade 7 Mapagmahal and 3 rd
placer was Romeo Cudiamat Jr. of Grade 9 Masinop.

III.

Reflection:
Our students must be loaded with substantial information of what is happening in
their environment. With the help of this activity, our students will be engaged with the arising
issue that has to be addressed. Knowledge on the governments action in addressing such
conflict will help our student realized that they need the sense of oneness and as a result is
their willingness to uplift the condition of his society.

IV.

Recommendation:
I recommend that this kind of activity concerning students awareness on his society
be permeated in some subject of all the programs offered at TNHS and be promoted and
supported by the private and public institutions.
