ACT 1 SCENE 1- (8mins)

(The stage is quickly set up to depict a typical garage setting, a bus having three rows of four
seats each is sighted on center stage and then an old man walking across, stops suddenly at
center stage, observes the audience and walks gradually to down stage center)
Narrator- ehmmGood morning my people.(looks around) I saw that the stage was empty and
thought you might be feeling lonely so I decided to cease the opportunity to gist you guys sharply
(clears throat and looks around again). This one we have been talking about prayer in church, I
have discovered its effect is very much. With prayer we give the devil an irresistible punch and
access heaven with an irreversible touch. Prayer is like turaya, our connection to God that needs
no wire. It brings us results that are mega, infact, praying in tongues takes us higher. Let me show
you a drama of how I escaped a major quagmire with the power of prayer. Its a testimony that
may appear very funny and garnished with musical symphony but it reveals Gods divine canopy in
times of calamity like in the book of Deuteronomy. Enjoy A cruise to cloud nine, my experience
when I was just twenty nine.(as He walks away, Kpaski comes on stage and is seen cleaning the
bus, the song adura by oyinkansade plays on the background, meanwhile Agbero enters stage
ranting)
Agbero Kpaski.abeg abeg abeg, na mi dey load next joor, ko ko rati rati e kuro o
Kpaski- come, omo Yoruba, e bi like say something dey work you abi? Shey your eyes blind? No bi
mi dey turn? If I calculate slap for your face ehn, your eye go dey count four-figure table.
Agbero Ogbeni lo te pause joor, who you dey rake for? No bi kamoru tell me sey evening don
dey come so maybe una no go wan go warri again. You go just dey make mouth like Bash Ali, Omo
eko ni mi ono come dey do wado wado here. Shey ni ma fi imu e fun fere, ma..ma.. (Starts
charging)
Kpaski- shut up guy! where you nahI don dey tell you say because sango dey try spit fire no
make am dragon o, if you chop lever, come fight nah..
(as both of them take a stance position of fight and charge towards each other, Driver Okon comes
in with a bottle of dry gin he has been drinking)
Okon- Kpaski! ShuuuOhore na te re nahno time to waste time. Call passengers for me,I dey
hurry. Na 3 knack so..when we wan reach warri?
Kpaski- the boss, no vex joor, nah this agbero wan dey melesket hereso I say make I show am
say because crayfish get fish for hin name no mean say hin sabi swim.
Okon- abeg free the papaya. Na because tree near tree nah hin make monkey dey show himselfcall passengers abeg. (Okon settles down to finish his Drink, while Kpaski travels the stage calling
out for passengers. Two ladies- melody and Cecilia appear on stage from left-stage gisting while
another lady Angela walks straight from the opposite direction and goes into the car)
Cecilia- Melody, you dont know how excited I am about going to Warri, this conference is a major
opportunity to leave the hustling and bustling of Lagos and spend two good weeks with my family.

Sis Melody - My sister, I agree with you o...its going to be a good break from the hectic routine.
Infact you needed to see how excited my mum was at my coming. She even said she has a lot of
suitors that she has arranged for me and they are all waiting to meet me with rings in their hands
dying to propose (they both laugh) I told her I am not in a hurry o,that my God will make it
beautiful in his time.
Cecilia- you are not in a hurry? At 32? Melo, I tire for you oyou arent getting any younger, your
mates are already closing their shops on child birth and you are here saying (sarcastic mime) Gods
time is the best. You better shine your eyes in this conference @ warri oif I were your age ehn,I
would literarily wear a post-card saying husband wanted; apply quickly, no qualification needed.
(They both laugh as they approach the bus)
Sis Melody- funny you, but indeed, I have cast all my cares to God in prayers, because I am
certain he cares for me. My pastor once said, when we pray, God hears more than the words we
say, answers more than we ask and gives more than we imagine, and he does all these in his own
way and at his own time. Thats why I dont want you to give up praying concerning your health
situation, God is still Jehovah Rapha- the Lord that heals us.
Cecilia- My sister, on that matter I have reached my wits end. I am desperate for solution anyhow
and anywhere; Warri is full of very competent herbalist, I intend to try my luck with a few. My
health condition is getting really embarrassing so I cant bank on orthodox medicine or endless
praying alone. Afterall, heaven helps those who help themselves.
Sis Melody - No o, heaven helps those who cannot help themselves (meanwhile, Thompson
passes, greets the ladies and enters the bus, the two ladies who are now at the Sienna entrance
also find seats in the bus. Then Eng. Alonge is seen coming from right stage receiving a call)
Eng. Alonge- yes! Its me Engineer Alonge. I am thoroughly disappointed at your
services.common thats not an excuse, I told you in equivocal terms that this appointment is
slated for 10pm on the 25th. Yes! You booked 26th -how daft is that: now you have forced me to
take public transport.yes, sure. I have tried that option, no airline is flying to warri again today,
the closest I got is Port-Harcourt and its not leaving until 8:15pm. Ehenyesyou think I will be
this angry if I havent tried that aswell? My driver didnt show up to work today and he isnt even
picking up his line. Thats the thing, havent driven myself in eleven years.yes, Warri is about
7hours and I hope I can make it there early. I will pay the driver extra if I have to, just need him to
fly. OkI have heard, will deal with that when I returndont botherbye. (Ends call, surveys the
bus and takes a front seat besides Thompson, then from right stage comes evangelist Kay and
Brother Harmony. While Evangelist Kay is looking happy and chanting a song in front, Bro
Harmony is looking sad following his trail)
Evang. Kay- (looking back) Bro Harmony, whats wrong you havent been looking happy all day,
arent you excited we are going to win souls for God in Warri.
Bro Harmony- Evangelist, its not the soul winning that worries me, but the fact that despite all
the great miracles the Lord has done by your hands since you embraced this call, we have nothing
physical to show for it. Take for instance, we dont have a car to go to Warri, infact what we have is
just our transport fare, not even money to buy food on the journey, we just deceive ourselves
saying we are fasting-this is nothing but hunger strike and anointing without financial allowance
can lead to annoyance.
Evang. Kay- hmmmI totally understand what you are saying, but I will encourage you not to
lose heart or be discouraged for Gal 6: 9 assure us not to be weary in well doing. That we shall
reap in due season if we dont faint. Infact yesterday night God opened my eyes to see another
secret to getting answers to prayers, that apart from praying according to His will like we do, we
should never doubt that he hears us rather, we should maintain a positive confession of what we
have asked of him in prayers until we see the physical manifestation of it for Heb 10:23 Let us hold
fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful that promised.
Bro Harmony- ok sir, will do that. Sometimes I just wish I was an anointed as you are, healing the
sick, casting out demons and leading many to Christ. It has been my major prayer point for some
time now, to carry the same grace upon you.

Evang. Kay- Dont worry, My God will grant the desires of your heart, just remain faithful in your
service and keep asking until your joy is full. (wakadugu then walks in funnily from stage left and
goes into the bus. Mummy Oke and Wolli enters from same stage right)
Wolli- ehen mama okedont worry, all is well now. Infact I prayed for your missing sons
miraculous return all through the night and angel malika appeared to me..eli mama shundara
( starts shaking like a typical white garment priest and starts chanting as if in her world) emi o
moti gboma so fun,I will tell heresheyemule abule igbale igbaleeshey esheyehen
twenty? Naira abi dollars? Ok sirshe will do it..amin! Angel Micheal and Angel Angello just
spoke to me now infact,I saw your son running towards you very fast, but he stopped suddenly
then the angels told me that he needs glucose so that he wont be tired of running towards you,
(hesitates abit) they said you should pay just twenty five thousand so we can buy glucose and
new running boots.
Mama Oke Really? Na wa othis your malika can be very demanding o, the last time you said
the angels were carrying him from Europe on eagles wings and they needed money for landing
parachute, the time before it was money for mobilization and now it is running shoes and glucose.
Tomorrow it will be helicopter for transportation. I am tired of all these. Do I even know where he is
running from now? Maybe its Afghanistan and he wont get here until after I die of worry. And why
is it even N25,000. What kind of shoe are we buying that is that expensive.
Wolli- Ha! So you doubt the competence of the holy ones? no one negotiates with awon Malika,
they buy original things or dont you want your sun to run faster? Infact, from what I saw he is at
Abeokuta already. Just make this last payment...
Mama Oke No! Not anymoreI have spent over two hundred thousand on your so called
malikas in the last three weeks and there is nothing to show for it, I will just go back to warri and
pray for my sons return. Malika ko,malachi ni (walks away towards the bus angily, wolli follows her
trying to convince her. On getting to the bus wolli tries to pray)
Wolli- eyin ara mi ni motor yithe Lord sent me to pray for you for journey mercies, because as I
look into the spirit,I see that this bus will not reach its destination, that when you get to ore, you
will divert to Ondo. Let us pray..
Angeli oke omalika meta meran ayemimo oh oh..ah ah mimoaminnow sow a seed to the
woman of God for answered prayers, its money for the spiritual fuel that will keep your bus on
course (meanwhile, Kpaski was collecting money from passengers as she was speaking)
Kpaski- madam Wolli abeg clear commot for road o, no bi our bus go divert from road. Anybody
wey talk say we no go swallow our eba in peace, hin water sef no go boil. Na the same lyrics you go
dey yarn for here every day- na so dem dey pray? If nah by that God dey answer prayer, even
phone ringtone nah prayer pointWarriabeg make we scatter speed commot; our journey don
done.
ACT 2 SCENE 1 (4mins)
(The bus turns from its side view to the front view facing the audience, everyone in the bus feels
and responds to the movement of the bus as it swerves and enters potholes, sound effect of a
moving car is played in the background, waka-dugu is heard coughing often, then Evang Kay
speaks up)
Evang. Kay- Brethren, let us say a word of prayer as we embark on this journey. Our father and
God, your word says unto you that answers prayer shall all flesh come. We come to you, thanking
you for life and the gift of a day such as this. Lord, we commit this trip into your hands, lead us in
peace and guide us to safety. Let your presence go before us to make crooked paths straight and
let everyone in this bus encounter Christ more than ever before. Thank you our prayer answering
God, for in Jesus name we pray.
All - Amen!
Mama Oke hmmprayer answering God indeed. Erhovwo ne ben vwe re
Thompsons thought Oghene biko o, this guy said you answer prayers again just like they
keep saying in church, hmm na your hand I dey o I have been praying to you to deliver me
from the hand of this cultist after me. baba God, help my situation abeg; nah you talk say though I

think say Ojuelegba bus you wan board. Cos for the levels of this your yarning, spit go finish for
your mouth before you sell market here o
(The bus goes quiet and then suddenly people start covering their nose because someone had
farted, almost everyone goes gaga)
Okon- mehn mehn..Someone has unleashed the dragon here o
Eng. Alonge- (looking at Angela) I wonder why some people cannot just respect themselves and
control their center of gravity. Hmmmthis release of intestinal gas is worse than an atomic bomb.
Angela- hanhanwhy are you looking at me? Does that terrible smell look like something from
me?
Kpaski- Aunty, dem no dey write am for face o,if nah you abeg call for help now,cos dis kin smell
na mature catastrophe that requires urgent spiritual attention, and pastor don arrange here to help
your matter-so voice out now to avoid stories that touch and if nah wakadugus medicine you
need, that one too brekete.
(Everyone goes silent again but waka-dugu keeps coughing intermittently)
Okon- this bus is too boring abeg, make we catapult to cloud nine with some good songs (turns on
the car stereo and Pasumas song starts playing)
Eng. Alonge- Hey driver, please kindly change that song, not everyone in this bus is a riff-raff, the
song is sickening. And please drive fastersome of us have important things to do in Warri.
Angela- Dont drive very fast o, some of us have our beautiful lives to live (meanwhile, Okon
changes the song to a phyno song)
Evang. Kay- Can we play this song instead? (Hands over a cd to the driver and then the song
many things by BNG plays)
Mama Oke Please please please stop playing that song (song stops), I dont think the singer
knows what he is saying. God doesnt answer prayers. Or how can you prove to me that I became
a widow 3 years into my marriage and after raise my only son through sweat and poverty, the son
gained admission into unilag and never came back home in almost 6years. I have come searching
for him more than 5 times, no one knows his whereabout, and like they say, a dead child is better
than a missing one. I have gone to several mountains of prayer all I get are promises from so
called men of God that are out to exploit you. So I have concluded that God hears prayers but he
doesnt answer them.
Evang. Kay- I am sorry to hear that madam, but you seeLet God be true and every situation a
lie. As long as men pray right, God always answer. Can I ask you if you believed your son will
return when you prayed?
Mama Oke- well, I used to believe in the first year that I will see him, but now, I only pray because
I wish he comes back not because I believe so.
Evang. Kay- You see, thats where you missed it. Whenever we ask God for something we must
ask in faith without wavering, for a double minded man cannot obtain anything from God. James
1:6 and 7

Bro Harmony- True, prayer is the key to heavens abundance, but faith is what opens the door.
Mama Oke- But after praying believingly in the first year, why didnt I get answers immediately.
Evang. Kay- You see, faith must be accompanied with patience according to Hebrew 6:12. After
you have made your request known, God goes into action but there is a patience period for it to
manifest and while you wait for that answer, you must not give place to doubt. Dont worry, we will
pray an agreement prayer now and God will surprise you.
Kpaski- Pastor, your get mouth like kettle. What of me wey I don finish my OND since two years
and na since then I dey pray make I see job wey better pass this one but nothing nothing.why
God no answer me?
Sis Melody - and are you sure you were praying or simply wishing
Kpaski- ehnno bi say I too pray about am sha,I just expect say God go know say I need better
job after school nah, shebi na good God hin be.
Sis Melody - No! Gods principle to answering prayers doesnt work that way, according to
Mathew 7:7 ask and you shall receive. When we dont ask, how should we expect to receive? God
doesnt respond to our desires, He only responds when those desires become prayer requests.
Bro Harmony- thank you sister
Sis Melody - Melody sir
Bro Harmony Melody. that was a sound answer, you see, prayer is what converts our wishes to
riches, our aspirations to reality. Except men pray, Gods hands are tied from helping our condition.
Eng. Alonge- Whats the fuzz about this prayer thing really. In my opinion, its only lazy and
jobless people that spend useful hours praying. I am a Christian as well but I believe that my
skillful hands and good judgment is what determines the outcome of my life.
Evang. Kay- Life is too fragile and unpredictable; only prayer can guarantee a desired outcome.
For the race is not to the swift nor battle to the strong, neither bread to the wise nor favour to the
men of skill but it is God that rules in the affairs of men and prayer is what moves his hands in any
mans favor. The devil isnt threatened by a skillful man but a prayerful man. Just as capital is
important to a businessman, so is prayer mandatory for every believer. It strengthens the Spirit,
shields the soul and scourges the adversary.
Okon: bi like say this praying sure for you o..shuu, if na so nah, we are approaching a police check
point abeg pray make dem no recognize me, cos I do them strong thing yesterday. If they stop me,
kasala don burst o..we go sleep here today.
Cecilia- Exactly! Tell the praying answering God that dey shouldnt collect bribe till we reach warri.
Evang. Kay- ok, if you believe, let us pray thenfather we thank you because there is nothing too
hard for you. Over this journey we speak against bribery, extortion and unnecessary police delay.
Let mercy prevail over judgment for the driver in Jesus name.
All- Amen o
ACT 3 SCENE 1 (12mins)
(The bus turns again facing its side and moves forward to the left of stage where there are two
policemen and two sellers. Policeman ben has a pot belly, while policeman ken has a funny
moustache, both appear slightly drunk)
Policeman Ken- Make una stop! (Walks towards the driver). Who am I seeing? Is this not Amunike
the footballer? Big bros I hail o. Ben, you no go come greet chairman? (Policeman Ben walks close)
Policeman Ben- Haba Ken! I have always told you that you need torchlight during the day and
sun shade at night so you can see wellthis is lord Luggard nah. Your highnessdouble twale o
(he gestures)
Policeman Ken- well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder shawhat me I see here is AmuniNo!

Policeman Ben- No o, no bi Kanu nah Kano mtchew Illetracy is a disease. Abeg Chairman, no
vex, allow us do our job and look round the motor, I am sure we wont find anything incriminating.
(they start looking around, meanwhile, waka-dugu is pricing gala from a seller and Angella is also
Kpaski who has alighted is also buying pure water from another seller)
Wakadugu- how much for your gala?

Gala seller Oga! You dey this country? Even a day old baby knows that gala is fifty naira each
nah
Wakadugu- hey!hey! (coughs into her face) dont insult me o, (pauses a bit as though
contemplating) this gala is expensive o, I will pay eighty naira for three.
Gala seller eleyi o ni kan sey o. okunrin rada rada sha; bad market! You for say nah kpako

one thousand naira note for one sachet of pure water)
Pure water seller (speaks benin language). You for told me you didnt get change nah, wasnt

Kpaski- (looks surprised) madamstick to what you know, English is not a compulsory course. Na

angrily) and I for say make I dash you the change make you take go school sef cos this your

(Meanwhile, someone farts again and the policemen also perceive it this time)
Policeman Ken- Driver, you put rotten meat for boot? This is a sacrilegious sagamake una

policemen and sellers leave the stage)

(Coughs uncontrollably)
Evang Kay- Oga!...There is a saying that he that will give you a beautiful clothe, you must first
look at what he is wearing. Sir with all due respect, what you are selling is a fake cause it hasnt
even cured your chronic cough yet. But I can pray for you because I serve a God that answers
prayers. (He holds the head of wakadugu who is now coughing profusely and prays for him and
suddenly the coughing ceases)
Wakadugu- ha! It worked oI feel fine now. I am grateful o man of God. Please how did you do
it?
Bro Harmony- Evangelist Kay is very anointed. A specialist at healing the sick and doing
miracles.
Evang Kay- well, I bless God for his mighty work, but I am not exceptional, healing the sick is an
exclusive right of every believer. For Mark 11: 23 says whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be
removed, and cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things
he is saying shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he says. So, every believer can enjoy
answers to their prayers if they can pray in faith. So I pray again. God will keep us all safe, grant us
the desires of our heart and there shall be no loss of life and property.
All- amen o
Cecelia- Thank you Man of God, I need healing too o, I have this health condition that could be
very embarrassing. Meanwhile, driver please stop, I need to use the toilet, I cant hold it anymore.
When I come back you will also pray to God for my healing.
Okon Sister, so na you dey fire tear gas since morning. Na wa obut sha like they say, God fit
turn our mess to message, because nah that mess God use take save us from police. Make I park.
Everybody wey wan sieve hin garri water should do so now o, because once we leave Benin, na till
Warri onight don reach (As he parks, Cecilia hurriedly exits the stage, everyone else alights to
stretch and some to ease themselves. Suddenly Okiemute and Shakiti-bobo enters stage with
guns and a sound effect is created to give an impression of danger)
Okiemute- lie down everyone.una dey craze! Lie down (everyone lies flat on the ground)

Shakiti bobo your money and your life.

Okiemute- Shakiticalm down, no bi that one bring us come here, Our mission is simple, we kill
the person wey we wan kill waka commot.
Shakiti bobo no mind me, kill dey too hungry me, meanwhile, where is the bastard (they look
around and sight Thompson)
Okiemute- omie-miesee the fool, you dey form very good bad sharp guy abi, you come run from
lagos dey go village. Shey you no no say the cult gets eyes and ears everywhere. Na from Ore we

to his knees, as they do so, Okiemutes wallet falls in the process.)
Shakiti bobo the idiot dey prayGod no dey answer devil prayer nah, if God collabo with devil,
na gbege earthquake bi that nah
Okemute- no o, I hear say hin turn born again before he ja commot for campus. Na why he talk

Shakiti bobo guy, dem no school you say for gorilla cult, people dont quit, they only delete.
Today nah your sentence. (They both shoot Thompson) if any other person raise head there, I go
waste am.
Okemute- meanwhile, e bi like say I see one expensive briefcase for the front seat, make I quickly
ayaj amwe fit make money on this mission too nah (quickly carries Eng. Alonges brief case and
runs along, Eng Along tries to stand in protest and plea but shakiti bobo slaps him and clears his
feet from the ground. As the thieves leave, everyone is in pandemonium as some people rush to
check Thompson. Surprisingly,Thompson survives the gun shots as the bullet was blocked by the
metal casing of his glasses and the bible in his pocket. Everyone is shocked and excited except
Eng. Alonge who is lamenting about his money in the briefcase that was taken. At this point,
Cecilia also returns to stage and then Okiemute rushes in again and shots up, everyone cringes in
fear) everybody oya marry the ground. Who carry my wallet here, u wan use my student ID card
trace me abiuna plan don roast.( everyone lies on the floor except evangelist Kay) you don sign
your death warrant abiI go shoot o..
Evang Kay- In the name of Jesus! ( Okemute tries to fire his gun but his hands are stuck) I know
this is not you, you are being influenced by evil spirits, so in the name of Jesus-be free. (then the
song break every chain by Jesus culture plays as a mini choreography deliverance happens
between Okemute and Evangelist Kay. Bro Harmony suddenly gets bold and stands up to support
Evang Kay as they wrestle with three demons standing behind Okemute trying to prevent
Okemute from being delivered. At the end, Okiemute is helpless on his knees and suddenly comes
to himself while the demons flee. Everyone else pounces on Okiemute to beat him, while Eng.
Alonge grabs his briefcase quickly)
Mama Oke Okemute! Okemute my son! Is this you?
Okemute (looking very surprised and starts to cry.) Yes mama, it is II am so sorry.
Mama Oke (hugs her son and weeps) what happened to you Oke my dear
Okemute two weeks after I got to school, a friend invited me to this night club, unknown to me
that it was a cult meeting. I was forced to join and initiated into dark arts. From that day, I lost my
consciousness and only did things that our capon instructed. I didnt know who I was again until
today
Thompson- Gorilla cult is a very demonic association where young men who arent saved but
have a promising future are recruited and brainwashed. You are forced to cut off all ties with family
and everyone that knows you before. I used to be one of the key members until one Bro Segun
invited me to Global Harvest Church back in Lagos, I was delivered in one of the services but was
still so afraid because the cult guys kept threatening my life if I dont return. In my church, its our
month of answered prayers, so I just kept praying for Gods protection from the hands of these
terrorists. When their intimidation became unbearable, I decided to flee from Lagos to go and see
my family members in warri after a long time. I thank God that he answered my prayers and
miraculously saved my life.
Mama Oke ha! Indeed, this God answers prayers omy son is back. Please my people, haven
heard his painful story, forgive him and let me return to warri with my son in peace.

Thompson- Please man of God, lead me to ChristI want to leave my life for him totally (Okon
and kpaski also comes towards Evang Kay sobbing)
Okon and kpaski Sir, we also want to know this your prayer answering God. Abeg pray for us.
(They fall to their knees. Evang Kay silently leads them to Christ)
Cecelia- (taps Bro Harmony) Sir, from what I saw just now, you also carry power, please pray for
my health. (As Bro Harmony lays his hands on her, she falls under the power of God. Bro Harmony
looks at his hands surprised at what just happened. Sister Melody looks at him and they both blush
at each other.)
Bro Harmony Sister of God, I hope you dont mind giving me your phone number, I will like to
know you more
Sis Melody I dont mind at all sir (draws close to him as they exchange contacts)
Eng Alonge. it will be very foolish of me after seeing all these and not agree that indeed the
effectual fervent prayer of the righteous avails much. Man of God, do you have a church you
pastor, because with what God has used you to do in this place, I am led to just sow a small seed
of five thousand dollars and also this as transport fare whenever you are returning to lagos (hands
him a bale of N50,000)
Evang Kay- (looking up) faithful God I thank you, for you are the one that hears the secret prayers
of your children and rewards them openly. Sir, thanks a lot, your seed sown is blessed. Although I
dont have a church of my own, but be sure that the money will be judiciously used to spread the
gospel of the kingdom.
Kpaski- ha! Baba God,you sabi show yourself shasee as you better pastor bread sharply. I know
you will do my own too o, now that I have rededicated my life to you.
Eng Alonge. About that, I have been thinking that I need a new driver and someone that can be
a personal assistant because I am tired of the nonsense of my driver. I wont mind giving you a try
for a few months. But I need to be sure that you can drive and abit literate at least.
Kpaski sir, I went to school, its the condition of this country that made crayfish to bend and I
can drive well, infact ehn, with this new found joy, I am sure I can drive with reverse from benin to
warri.
Eng Alonge. Very funny, ok. We can work together then.lets start with a hundred thousand
salary first,I hope it isnt too small.
Kpaski (prostrates) the boss! Small ke, my salary no reach quarter of that before nah. Thanks a
million sir (starts singing an urhobo song and dancing)
Okon- wow! Oga, if you need an assistant to assist your personal assistant or an internal driver
too, I full ground o. this has been an encounter with God indeed. I have the peace and joy of God
in my soul. We need to get going, its already dark and let me apologize for this, my head lamp is
faulty so we wont have light to travel the remaining 1 hour.
All- ha!
Kpaski dont worry, we will fire prayer for the remaining journey
Sis Melody - We better get going then (they all enter the bus again)
ACT 4 SCENE 1 (5mins)
(Finally, the bus turns to face left of stage, the effect of a moving bus is heard as they enter pot
holes, intermittently, people in the bus jerk to create a gallop effect. The song, always pray for
you by Nosa plays in the background)
Waka-gudu- driver easy o, these one we cant see road, you shouldnt speed anymore nahe te
jeje ejo
(Angela catches the driver dozing)
Angela- Ha! Driver no bi sleep you dey sleep so? See me see something my people, no bi ditch
this man go carry us go so.
Sis Melody We should maintain a positive confession always, if we have asked God to take
charge of the journey, lets trust him to guide us.
Okon- sorry o my people, I havent slept in 3days, been taking alomo and paraga so that I will
stay fit and travel as much as possible to make more money. No vex abeg,I wont sleep again, Na
hustle cause am.(starts slapping himself to stay awake)

Sis Melody I suggest we sing song of praises to keep him awake, and also a way to thank God
for answering all our prayers so far. (She raises an igbo song and everyone joins her in singing it)
Okon- ha! My fuel tank says empty, and there is no open filling station between now and Warri. It
will take a miracle to take us to our destination.
Bro Harmony We serve a God who is an expert at performing miracles, lets fire prayer to our
prayer answering God for he said call on me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty
things that you do not know. (Everyone begins to pray in whispers as the song prayer changes
things by Dietrick Haddon plays)
Okon- Another announcement o my people, this one is mega serious o panuyameh! my break has
failed and I am running at 120 kilometers per hour. No light, no fuel, no breaks, only God can save
us from a crash. Family please pray o Kpaski, please help me call my family members, tell them
I love them and will miss them that we might die soon.
Evang. Kay No! We are not of them that give up hope, we believe only the report of the Lord.
He said in his words that His hands are not too short to save nor his ears too thick to hear. When
we call upon Him in faith he will show himself strong on our behalf.
All- yes!
Cecila- His words says we shall not die but live to declare his goodness
All- yes!
Sis Melody Psalms 37:40, the LORD shall help us in time of trouble, and deliver us: he shall
deliver us and save us because we trust in him.
All- oh yes!
Bro Harmony- God assured us in Isa 58:9 saying then shalt we call, and the LORD will answer;
we shalt cry, and he shall say here I am. Brethren Lets call for Gods intervention. (They all begin
to pray loudly and indiscriminately as the car swerves to the right and the left. The song Jesus
take the wheel by Carrie underwood plays in the background. Suddenly, another bus approaches
from the left of stage to hit them; a slow motion effect is created as both buses try to dodge each
other, suddenly)
Narrator And pause! That was how God delivered us from a near death situation. And I make
bold to say, that when you consistently sow seeds of prayer, you will reap flowers of testimonies,
for God never resists the prayer from a believing heart. God bless you. I leave you to guess who I
was in this dramaKings Envoyplay joor (the song oba by Samsong plays in the background.
All actors come to center stage dancing and take a bow)
