This is a high-end Home Cinema/Surround Sound amplifier. It will drive several p
airs of speakers, plus various surround set-up's and subwoofers etc. It has a bu

Up for sale are a pair of LS3/5a Type Speakers.

I bought these last year with a vision to them being a project that i have never
got round to. I have owned a pair of Audiomaster and Rogers LS3/5a's as well as
Harbeth HLP3's.
Readers will most likely know all about them suffice to say the were developed b
y the BBC as being their main smaller reference monitor loudspeaker to ensure so
und was as perfect as possible.
They were produced by several companies from the mid 70's and are still availabl
e to buy new now.
Once you have heard and get to know the sound you will realise why.
This has lead to a now cult following and complete industry built around them. E
arly mint versions are commonly reaching prices of 2k+. The new versions being of
fered are around 1200.
This kit comprises a set of cabinets and original KEF B110 bass drivers. The cab
inets don't have any markings so i'm not sure what they were but they are very g
ood quality and made very well to complete BBC specification.
I will include a set of tweeters and crossovers if required. Otherwise there are
many options available to fill this gap including new 'drop-in' replacements or
original plenty of KEF tweeters and crossovers available on eBay and other webs
ites.
I'm happy to offer help, a list of new and secondhand sellers and advice if you
require.
Collection is from Didcot OX11. I'd also be happy to meet somewhere if convenien
t, deliver by arrangement or pack up safely and posted.
