KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS

• Established Electronic Production Part Approval Submissions. Developed electronic spreadsheets, workbooks &
templates in compliance to Customer and AIAG Industry Standards. Negotiated acceptable terms & conditions for
electronically transferring PPAP submission elements as required by Harley-Davidson, Buell Motorcycle Company &
Dixie-Narco, resulting in said companies adopting e-PPAP submissions as their Global Standard. Benefits eliminated the
use of costly Overnight carrier services many times over per month while providing additional internal lead-time.

• Initiated Digital Camera use as a means for Continual Improvement. Integrated photos on Operator Instructions
highlighting critical part specific processes & cosmetic requirements. This measure proved to support/improve efficacy of
non-English speaking employees. Conduct real-time photo correspondence with Customer regarding uncertain product
specifications, cosmetic criteria, fit/function, visual attributes, etc.

• Negotiated successfully with Plastics Customers numerous times to acquire expanded tolerance specs originally required
for part approvals and in-process production. Where fit/function & cosmetics are not at risk, such negotiation is often
overlooked. Many “new” drawings for plastic parts are for items currently machined from metal with engineering
transferring the metal tolerance callout, not practical for conventional injection molding. When attained, callouts of ±.001” -
.005” corrected to ±.005” - .015” has reduced unnecessary mold cost, production setup time, inspection, and internal
scrap costs while boosting stable statistical process control parameters.

• Started the process of utilizing Certified Vendors for purchasing components and/or secondary materials, which has now
led to a 65% reduction in Receiving Inspection and reallocation of in-house resources to ensure internal quality.

• Initiated ISO 9000 Standards and Practices in QA department, in-process inspections, and Operator Instructions, which
gained unanimous Management support. Owners launched company-wide pursuit of ISO Certification in 2000. Company
became ISO 9000 Registered in 2002. Assisted 2nd company in attaining ISO Certification in Jan. 2007.
