Notes: Amherst junior RHP Max McKenna (Lexington, Mass.) led the Lord Jeffs to a 6-3 win over Wesleyan on Friday, tossing seven
strong innings and holding the Cardinals to .154 at the plate. He gave up four hits and two walks while striking out four batters. The two runs
that McKenna allowed were both unearned...Bates junior DH/1B/P Noah Lynd (Meriden, N.H.) hit two homers in the Bobcats’ 23-7 win at
Husson last week. He finished the two-game series with a .364 average (4-for-11) with three runs scored and nine driven in. Lynd leads the
Bobcats in home runs (5) and slugging (1.030) to go with a .424 average and 15 RBIs...Bowdoin’s Brett Gorman (Bedford, N.Y.) had five
hits, including a three-run home run and a triple, in a doubleheader sweep of Plymouth St. on Thursday. The Polar Bears returned north
from Florida with a record of 13-3, the best-ever showing after 16 games in the 144-year history of the program...Colby’s Mike Mastrocola
(Southbury, Conn.) drove in a team-high 10 runs, had a team-best eight walks, and batted .379 over a 4-5 week for the Mules in Florida...
Hamilton sophomore RHP Steve Wright (Cortland, N.Y.) tossed a seven-inning, complete-game five-hitter for his first career shutout in a 2-0
win over Wis.-Stout on March 23. Later in the week, Wright secured his first career save in a 6-4 win against SUNY Cobleskill on March 28,
earning the final out with two runners on. He finished the week with five strikeouts and just one walk, holding opponents to a .179 average.
Junior 2B Joe Buico (Altamont, N.Y.) hit .435 (10-for-23) in a 4-3 week for the Continentals, recording four multi-hit games. Buicko scored
four runs, drove in six, stole three bases and had three doubles...Middlebury junior RHP Nick Angstman (Williston, Vt.) earned a pair of
wins during the Panthers’ spring break trip, boasting a 1.93 ERA and holding opponents to a .255 batting average. Angstman ended the trip
with a three-hit shutout of Williams, collecting four strikeouts in the victory. Junior 3B Donald McKillop (Poway, Calif.) led the Panthers with
a .382 batting average (13-for-34) in a 3-5 week in Arizona. He recorded four doubles, six runs scored, six driven in, and an .808 fielding
percentage...Trinity senior OF James Wood (Windham, N.H.) batted .583 (21-for-36) with a 1.194 slugging percentage and a .722 on-base
mark in a 9-1 week for the Bantams. Wood scored 14 runs, drove in 16, had four doubles, a triple, and five home runs...Tufts junior OF
Ian Goldberg (Lake Forest, Ill.) was an offensive catalyst for the Jubmos during a 6-2 week, batting .556 (15-for-27) with a .613 on-base
percentage and a .778 slugging mark. He had four doubles, a triple, four walks, a stolen base, seven runs scored and six RBI. In a double-
header sweep at Apprentice School, Goldberg combined to go 7-for-8 with three runs and four RBI. Tufts finished its spring trip with eight
victories, the most for the Jumbos since 2000...Wesleyan freshman RHP Derek Lukin (Brooklyn, Conn.) earned a victory over Amherst on
Saturday, pitching eight innings and giving up seven hits and three earned runs while striking out seven batters and holding the Jeffs to a
.233 average at the plate. Sophomore Brett Yarusi (Belmar, N.J.) allowed four hits and three earned runs in a complete-game victory over
Amherst in Saturday’s first game. First year Chris Bonti (Tampa, Fla.) cracked his first career home run in the Cardinals’ 6-3 victory over
Amherst on Saturday, as his three-run shot in the sixth proved to be the difference in the game. He also came on to pitch in the ninth inning,
