Verses 1: Paul refers to himself:

as a Servant and an Apostle for God.

• Servant- An official in the Lord's royal administration. someone Like Moses,


Samual, or David.. (Isaiah 42:1-7) Although in a gentiles mind, a servant was someone
who chose to work for his master or a slave who was not free to leave his master.

• Apostle- An ambassador for Christ who is sent. A person acting With full authority
for another in a business or legal transaction

a). Why is it important for you to Know what Ver. 2-4 says about Jesus ? What
diff. do these verses make to you in your life?

b.) What errors about Jesus do these verses refute ?

Verses 1-7: Paul formally identifies himself in the following manner:

• Himself- (1:1)?

1) Gospel (4:11-old English word ‘godspel ' means “good News” translates the
