Anson Adams Mount IV (born February 25, 1973) is an

American actor. He is best known for playing Cullen Bohannon in the AMC show Hell on Wheels. He also played
Jim Steele on the short-lived NBC series Conviction and
appeared in the lm Tully.

Early life

Mount was born in Mount Prospect, Illinois[1] and grew

up in White Blu, Tennessee. His mother, Nancy
Smith, is a former professional golfer.[2] His father, Anson Adams Mount II, was one of the original contributing editors to Playboy magazine.[3][4] Anson has an older
brother, Anson Adams III, and a sister, Kristin, from his
fathers rst marriage.
Mounts great-great-great grandfather was a Confederate
cavalry colonel in the Civil War.[5] He attended Dickson
County High School in Dickson, Tennessee, The University of the South and Columbia University.[3] At The University of the South, he was a member of Lambda Chi
Alpha fraternity.
