Target Market
The consumers for singkamas(turnip) chips will be all age group from 12-50
years are considered to be target customers. These target customers are health
conscious, loves to eat snacks which are crispy. They are always on the move so the
singkamas chips will be best fitted to them because they can munch on them in
between meals. More importantly, this consumer doesnt have time to prepare the
snacks at home. They either live alone because of their job or studies or they belong to
a nuclear family where their parents are extremely busy. However the expected frequent
users for singkamas chips would be youth, office goers, students, travelers and
members of a nuclear family.

Description of the product


Singkamas chips are slices of singkamas, dried, then fried or dehydrated to
become crispy, and are then it is coated with brown sugar. This snack is a better and a
healthier alternative to the potato chips.

Relevance of the product to the community


This product aims to promote a new way of eating singkamas (turnips). By doing
so, singkamas will be re-introduced to the public as a snack and it will help to boost the
popularity of the crop even to the younger generation. It will also help farmers to obtain
additional income by growing singkamas in addition to their seasonal crops. Lastly, the
public will have a healthier alternative for a snack.

Not only the product will taste good, we can also obtain numerous benefits from
it. It is high in primary vitamins and minerals that our body needs such as, vitamins C, A
and B complex, along with calcium, phosphorous, folic acid, magnesium, niacin, iron,
potassium and sodium. It is also a guilt-free treat because it only has very low calories.
A dietary fiber that satisfies hunger without feeling heavy is also present in the product.
It also helps to reduce the risk of obesity, hypertension and diabetes. It is also an

The product has two main ingredients. First is the singkamas (turnip) and the

street is considered because of low cost purchasing.
