Luxury Management
Fashions come and go, but heritage brands inspire true, lasting
customer loyalty. This programme covers both the ever-changing world
of retail fashion, and the end of the market where an aspirational
label is everything.

You will gain a well-rounded view of the fashion sector,
the workings of the retail industry and, crucially, the art of management.
Upon successful graduation youll have gained a deep insight into the
creative edge of fashion, and what it takes to operate and market
a successful brand.

What You Will Study

Entry Requirements

The nature of the fashion system, its marketing and communication techniques,
distribution methods and brand management these are the core topics that
will come under your microscope. A picture will emerge of fashion as a cultural,
social and historical system and force, giving you a wider context in which to
place those famous retail and luxury brands.

The degree is divided into two distinct parts. The first half focuses on
teaching you the necessary theory, while the second half shows you how to
apply this theory in practical situations.

To complete your understanding of how fashion works in the real world, you
have the option of an integrated work experience module within a live fashion
industry scenario during semester three.

--Essentials and principles of
fashion marketing and luxury brand
management
--Sustainable fashion branding
--Fashion marketing and retailing in
the luxury sector
--History of fashion and concept
of luxury applied to consumer
behaviour (the origins of fashion)

Semester Three
--Innovative tactics of fashion
e-tailing: the application of new
technology and its impact on supply
chain
--Final major project (dissertation)
