From Faith to Faith

• Hebrews 11:6 “ And without faith, it is

impossible to please Him; for he who comes
to God must first believe that He is, and that
He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek
Him”
I. Faith in What?
a. Two Evolutions
b. Unity in Diversity
From Faith to Faith
c. A Belief System
1. Content: Reality is basically indifferent to how
sincerely we believe something. Sincerity and
fervency must not supplant real content.
2. Strength: The degree to which you are
convinced that a belief is true.
3. Centrality: The degree of which your belief
plays in your worldview. The more central your
belief is the more difficult to abandon or change.
From Faith to Faith
• Romans 1.20 “ For the invisible things of him
from the creation of the world are clearly
seen, being understood by the things that are
made, even his eternal power and Godhead;
so that they are without excuse.”
a. The force of faith
From Faith to Faith
• Faith (Greek) “pistis” a firm persuasion, a
conviction based upon hearing
• Reason is defined as a faculty, that in isolation
or combination that we use to gain knowledge
and justify our beliefs, an argument if you will

“HE IS” (Hebrews 11.6)

From Faith to Faith
• Living Faith or Facts
Romans 10.7 “ So then faith cometh by hearing
and hearing by the Word of God
The revealed Word of God equals FACTS

Take a few minutes and let’s rehearse in our

minds and vocally some of the PROMISES of
God, which are “yea, in Christ Jesus”
From Faith to Faith
• The book of Deuteronomy list the curses
• Galatians 3.13,14 “ Christ hath redeemed us
from the curse of the law, being made a curse
for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one
that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of
Abraham might come on the Gentiles through
Jesus Christ; that we might receive the
promise of the Spirit through faith.”
From Faith to Faith
• How do you change or challenge a law?

• Ephesians 2.8 “ For by grace are ye saved

through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is
the Gift of God”
• God is the source of our Faith, it is in Him that
we have faith.
• Faith is imparted from God, and the nature of
God makes Him easy to trust.
From Faith to Faith
• Man has tried to make man the source of
faith, If man were the source of faith we
would have to ask, are they trustworthy, are
they reliable, can I depend on them?
• We position ourselves for God’s purposes in
mankind. The object of my faith is in the
finished work of Jesus Christ.
• If I intend to operate in the heavenlies it will
be as Michael did over the body of Moses.
From Faith to Faith
• Jude 1.9 “Yet Michael the archangel, when
contending with the devil he disputed about
the body of Moses, durst not bring against
him a railing accusation, but said “The Lord
rebuke thee”
• The church will never “prevail” until we
“travail”. The travail of Jesus brought about
our ability to prevail over the works of
darkness.
From Faith To Faith
• Walking Faith “The Journey”
• The “journey” is defined as the time period
between the promise and the possession
• Hebrews 11.1 “ Now faith is the assurance(
the confirmation, the title deed) of things we
hope for, being the proof of things we don’t
see and the conviction of their reality, faith
perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to
the senses.”
From Faith to Faith
• Faith is spiritual Not emotional or intellectual
• Peter emotional response of never denying Jesus
was not good enough on that day.
• Man’s wisdom and intellect will never be able to
understand the transcendence of God. His ways
are higher than our ways and His thoughts higher
than our thoughts. It will accomplish that which I
please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I
sent it (Isaiah 55.8,9,11 paraphrased)
From Faith to Faith
• Spiritual Reality versus Physical Reality
• 2 Kings 6.8-17

not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which
is of god; that we might know the things that
are freely given to us of God.”
From Faith to Faith
• James 1.2-4 “ My brethren, count it all joy
when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing
this, that the trying of your faith worketh
patience. But let patience have her perfect
work, that ye may be perfect and entire,
wanting nothing.”
• Patience doesn’t mean you just cope with a
thing, it means that you wait until the
unchangeable is changed by the power of God
From Faith to Faith
• Hebrews 11
• These heroes never saw the effect of their
faith in their generation.
• Hebrews 12.2a “ Looking unto Jesus the
author and finisher of our faith;
From Faith to Faith
• Hebrews 11.13-16 “ These all died in faith,
not having received the promises, but having
seen them afar off, and were persuaded of
them, and embraced them, and confessed
that they were strangers and pilgrims on the
earth. For they that say such things declare
plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if
they had been mindful of that country from
whence they came out, they might have had
opportunity to have returned.
From Faith to Faith
• Hebrews 11.16 “ but now they desire a better
country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is
not ashamed to be called their God: for he
hath prepared for them a city”
• It is about a “place”
• Satan uses natural weapons, persecution,
adversity, things that arise to steal your faith,
kill your influence and destroy your purpose
and destiny.
From Faith to Faith
• Faith is about a “place”, you may not like where
your at, but you must keep moving.
• Ephesians 4.7 “Give no place to the devil”
• God’s people exercise their “journey” by their
faith
• Joseph went into the prison, but kept on
believing from the prison to the penthouse. God
brought him to his destiny and purpose because
he stayed in position and moved forward.
From Faith to Faith
• Joseph proclaiming his faith, even in his death,
when you leave here take my bones with you.
• Captivity is a place or prison. You can’t move,
the devil is beating your brains out, you are
confined as the children of Israel were in their
unbelief, they died because confined to
wander. Everyone except those whose faith
was in God, proclaiming “we are well able”
From Faith to Faith
• Strongholds are the same, a dormant, inactive
place. The enemy requires a song, but you
can’t sing a new song in a strange land.
• Hebrews 6.12 “ That ye be not slothful, but
followers of them who through faith and
patience inherit the promises”
From Faith to Faith
• Experience “ The Reward from the Rewarder”

accomplishments and victories. The practical
application, manifestation and living out of
God’s facts. A “seeing” , a God World View

that the eyes of their mind or understanding
be opened so that they would see …

never sell your birthright for a morsel,
