Suven Life Sciences secures 7 (seven) Product Patents for their NCEs in ARIPO,
Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau and South Korea
HYDERABAD, INDIA (December 23, 2015) Suven Life Sciences Ltd (Suven) announced today
that they secured product patents in ARIPO (AP 3340), Europe (2611444), Hong Kong (HK
1187613), Japan (5805795) Macau (J/001756 & J/001848) and South Korea (10-1554407) to their
New Chemical Entities (NCEs) for CNS therapy through mechanism of action H3 Inverse
agonist and these patents are valid until 2031. The granted claims of the patent include the class of
selective H3 ligands discovered by Suven and are being developed as therapeutic agents and are
useful in the treatment of cognitive impairment associated with neurodegenerative disorders.
With these new patents, Suven has a total of one (1) granted product patent in ARIPO, nineteen (19)
granted patents from Europe, Eighteen (18) granted patents from Hong Kong, eighteen (18) granted
patents from Japan, seven (7) granted patents from Macau and eighteen (18) granted patents from
South Korea. These granted patents are exclusive intellectual property of Suven and are achieved
through the internal discovery research efforts. Products out of these inventions may be out-licensed at
various phases of clinical development like at Phase-I or Phase-II
