When press GO TO 0 watch system working until it stops (list is 0) as
system is not always working properly, some alarms may come.
b)
Watch Heeling tanks level (7 S WBT P+S), when less than 650m3,
system is shutting down automatically, and alarm is coming. Do not use
it when you have level less than 700 m3!!!

BALLAST SYTEM PROCEDURES

A: WATER IN BY GRAVITY
1)
2)
3)
4)

Open sea chest valve BA 45 / BA 43(depends which side you need)

Open all valves on the main ballast line and valve for tank you want to fill up
Depending on ships draft, water will go inside tank up to some level
Close all valves

B: WATER IN BY PUMP
1) Open sea chest valve BA 45 / BA 43(depends which side you need)
2) Following the way through nearest ballast pump, open throttle valves BA47/48/49/50 up to 90-100% to reduce pressure on line.
3) Open all valves on the main ballast line and valve for tanks you want to fill up
4) Start the ballast pump (only one for filling up!!!)
5) Check delivery pressure on pump, adjust from throttle valves(BA 47/48) to
be less than 2.5-3 bars
6) Close all valves
REMARK: ALWAYS FILL UP AT LEAST 2 TANKS IN ORDER TO HAVE A
SMALLER DELIVERY PRESSURE!!!

C: PUMP OUT WATER

1) In BALLAST MENU, open Overboard valve(BA-51)
2) Open valve from tank you want to pump out plus all valves on main ballast line
up to nearest pump
3) Open throttle valve BA-49 or BA-50 depends the side you pump out first to
20-30%
4) Start ballast pump
5) Adjust opening of throttle valve to get a delivery pressure of min. 0.5-1.0 bar
6) As tank level of water is going down, youll need to adjust the opening of throttle
valve in order to have good suction/delivery pressure
7) When you notice delivery pressure of almost 0, stop pump and close all valves.

D: INTERNAL TRANSFER OF WATER

1) Open valve from tank you want to transfer and tank where you want to move
water
2) Open all valves on ballast main lines up to nearest pump, then open throttle valves
BA 49+BA 50 to 90% and either BA 48 or BA 47 to 10-15%, than all valves on
other side of ballast main line up to desired tank
3) Start ballast pump
4) You should have a pressure of 3-4 bars. After few seconds, open gradually BA-48
or 47 to 30-40% to get a delivery pressure of 2-2.8 bars
5) Watch this pressure to be more or less constant, when needed, adjust the valves
48/47
6) When finish, stop pump, close all valves
