January 15 1-2 PM Fit Friday: Introduction to Machine Weight Training and Basic Cardio with Mike Cupples

Location: Ford Field House Room 102


Class Description: This 50-60 minute of machine based resistance training will provide participants knowledge on basic
strength training routines and information regarding muscular strength and endurance building concepts. This session will
include education, explanation of skills, proper warm up and cool down techniques. The work out is designed for all ages and
gender for lifelong skill development with strength training and basic aerobic concepts. Dress comfortable for exercise.

January 22 2-3 PM Fit Friday: Boot-camp Class with Laura Kennett

Location: Ford Field House Room 304 (Balcony)


Class Description: This 30 minute exercise session that will provide a great cardiovascular workout while building muscular
endurance. This session will also include education, explanation of skills and proper warm up and cool down techniques. This
workout can modified for all levels and will include body weight exercises, balance challenges, strength training, and
more. Dress comfortably for exercise and bring water. See you there!

February 12 11:15 - 12:15 PM Fit Friday: "How Healthy is your Heart?" with Leigh Kleinert

Location: Calkins Science Room 125/127

Class Description: Come and explore your cardiovascular health as you rotate through various interactive stations: take a
self-quiz on your own heart health, compare healthy hearts and arteries to diseased ones, have your blood pressure taken,
and learn about common cardiovascular diseases and how to prevent them with simple diet and lifestyle changes.

February 26 1:15-2:15 Fit Friday: TRX Suspension Training with Melanie Schiele Gady

Location: Ford Field House Room 212

Class Description: Get a great total body work out using the TRX Suspension Trainer. You will learn how the TRX suspension
training exercises builds true functional strength, improves flexibility, balance and core stability. Class will include a history
of TRX, proper set up and mechanics, warm up, cool down, and you will also leave with a 4 Week Work out TRX Plan. Bring a
great attitude and smile and be dressed ready to work out.

March 18 11:15-12:15 Fit Friday: Healthier Kids Grow Into Healthier Adults with Sherry Knoppers

Location: Calkins Science Room 125/127

Class Description: This course will go over the importance of healthy eating, adequate sleep, and physical activity for overall
health from the Pediatric level to Adulthood. Understanding the importance of maintaining health and good habits through
all years of life.

April 1: 10:00-11:00 AM Fit Friday: Heart Attack, Stroke and Cardiac Arrest Care and Prevention with Lannie
Collard and Melanie Schiele Gady

Location: Calkins Science Room 122

Class Description: Prevention as well as how to respond and care for a victim that is having a heart attack, stroke, or is in
cardiac arrest. Learn how to save a life!
