Sol Kerzner Opens Mazagan

New Resort and Casino in El Jadida, Morocco

31 October 2009: After opening two of the most anticipated resorts in the world
within the last twelve months - Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai and the One&Only
Cape Town in South Africa - Sol Kerzner will today host VIP and celebrity guests
at his new 5 star beach resort and casino, Mazagan, in Morocco. The weekend-
long opening will be a feast of culture and entertainment, local pageantry,
culinary delights and a breathtaking fireworks display by world-renowned
pyrotechnic experts, Grucci.

VIP guests attending from around the world include supermodel Naomi
Campbell, Hollywood stars Lindsay Lohan, Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber,
former model and TV presenter Lisa Snowdon and British actress Tamsin
Egerton.

Other VIPs including actress Natascha McElhone, TV personality Donna Air and
Simon and Yasmin Le Bon are attending the weekend events with their families.
They will be joined by a host of Moroccan and French VIPs all eager to enjoy the
spectacular resort and diverse evening entertainment.

The arrival to the 250-hectare beach front resort will be graced by fifty El Jadida
horses in full tbourida costume, famous in the Doukkala region, and over 250
local musicians including trumpeters and drummers in full traditional dress. More
than 300 Moroccan entertainers and artisans including sword swallowers, fire
eaters, fortune tellers, snake charmers and belly dancers will welcome guests.
The rose, Morocco’s famed signature flower, will be showcased in “gardens” of
over 100,000 fresh red, white and pink blooms and on hostesses outfitted with
three metre high rose sculptures, each covered in over 1,000 flowers. The
sights, sounds and smells of the spectacular Moroccan culture will be enhanced
by the array of flavours for which the region is most well known. Throughout the
resort’s eight signature restaurants, platters of fresh local and international
cuisine will tempt palates.

As a final salute from Sol Kerzner to celebrate the opening, an 8 minute firework
spectacular in the resort’s main courtyard, The Grand Riad, will be presented by
renowned pyrotechnic experts Grucci. The display will use firework colours
produced exclusively for the event, creating an aerial image of the Moroccan flag
that will be seen for over 10 miles around. The pyrotechnics will be fired from all
four sides of the resort as well as the beach front and golf course, surrounding
the entire resort in an array of colours and effects.

With friends and family surrounding them, a number of VIPS guests including
Simon Le Bon and Vladislav Doronin will celebrate their collective birthdays with
a celebration in the exclusive, state-of-the-art Sanctuary nightclub, designed by
renowned restaurant and night-club designer Jeffrey Beers.

Mazagan Beach Resort is a brand new unique coastal destination resort

overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, located 90km south of Casablanca. The
luxurious resort offers a brand new golf and spa destination in a previously
unexplored region of Morocco, that benefits from an all year round temperate
climate. With its idyllic location right on the sandy beach, Mazagan Beach Resort
encompasses a 250-hectare site including an 18-hole golf course designed by
Gary Player, a 7km stretch of beach, luxury boutiques, eight restaurants, the only
casino in a 200km radius, a nightclub, a spa and one of the largest conference
