Tools and Appliances

B.5.1

assembling/disassembling of the transformer
3. Set of slings enough to lift 110% of the transportweight of the transformer

figures will be added to give the total capitalized cost for transformer losses.

Cost of Transformer Losses

During Factory Acceptance Test, if the transformer losses, as determined by test at rated voltage, frequency and 100% rated MVA (on
tapping) exceeded the guaranteed total losses, the excess in losses shall be computed at the following rates and using the formula stip
Paragraph 1.2.4.5 of the Transco 2005 Edition of the technical specification. The resulting amount shall be deducted from the contrac
transformer.

B.6.2

Maintenance Free Dehydrating (silica gel) Breathers for the Transformers

In lieu of the conventional type of dehydrating breathers with silica gel or similar drying agents which always require periodic sight c
frequent replacement of used-up granulate of silica gel, a newly develop maintenance free dehydrating breathers similar to MR type M
be used for the transformers.

B.6.3

Impact Recorder for Transformer

A three dimensional shock recorder with a period recording chart for three months shall be provided by the Contractor for each of the
to be supplied. The Contractor shall state the allowable safety limit of the readings for the impact.

In the event that the reading of the impact recorder exceeded the safety limit during and after loading, transport and unloading of the transfor
Contractor should promptly report this matter to the Owner and conduct a thorough examination of the transformer to assess the possible dam
might occur in the transformer. If the result of the reading would render the transformer unserviceable, then the Contractor should immediate
remedial measures to make sure that the transformer would be safely and properlyoperational. If the defect however, would necessitate a com
replacement of the transformer, then the Contractor should do so at his own expense. It is understood that the replacement and/or the remedia
undertaken on the transformer would not entail time extension on the contractual date in the implementation of the Project.
