From strength to strength, year-on-year

2015 Highlights

Its been yet another year of reassuring success and confident growth at Intersec,
the must-attend trade fair for safety, security, fire protection and homeland security.
Held under the patronage of, and officially opened by H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin
Mohammad bin Rashid al Maktoum, this years show saw exhibitors and visitors from
across the globe. For three days from January 18 20, 2015, the best of the industry
came together under one roof for mutual benefit and growth.

Industry Experts Analyse the Pulse of the Safety and
Security Market at Intersec Conferences
Led by high-profile international speakers and supported by Dubai Police and the
Directorate General of Civil Defence - Dubai, the Intersec 2015 conferences were an ideal
platform for industry experts to discuss and analyse new developments, innovations,
legislation and changing paradigms within the regional safety and security industry.

Intersec Fire Safety Conference

For the first time, Information Security


was an individual section at the show!
In response to the demand by industry and visitors, Information and IT Security was
successfully launched, with 25 exhibitors showcasing their latest products and services.
Information Security at Intersec has made a good start and Im surethe sectionwill grow
to be very big. We are very happy with the results, responses and quality of visitors.

The Intersec Fire Safety Conference discussed various aspects of fire


detection, suppression and mitigation, as well as highlighting the dynamics
of human behaviour in fire situations. Safety standards and fire safety
codes were discussed, as well as fire prevention and protection. Fire
risk assessment and fire systems design were also addressed to assist
professionals in evaluating their fire safety and property protection goals.

Intersec Commercial Security Conference


The Intersec Commercial Security Conference analysed the most pressing
corporate security challenges that can plague businesses. The conference
featured discussions that focused on assisting delegates to strategise the
most effective security measures for their organisations, including CCTV
legislation, standardisation, analytics and forensics.

Intersec Occupational Safety Conference


Developing and implementing an effective occupational safety
management system, developing strategies towards vision-zero and
competency frameworks were some of the topics discussed at the
Intersec Occupational Safety Conference. The conference provided
information on how to systematically improve health and safety to ensure
a sound and healthy working environment for employees.

Safety Design in Buildings Conference


Organised by Sesam Business Consultants, the Safety Design in
Buildings Conference addressed fire safety and evacuation strategies,
safety system requirements for high occupancy buildings and safety
enhancements for super-tall buildings. Supported by ASTM, the
Chartered Institute of Buildings, the American Institute of Architects,
and the Society of Faade Engineering, the conference was a
high-profile gathering of architects, engineers, regulators and related
professionals from the construction and contracting industry.
