Conversion payments (2011):


- Cyprus, Belgium, Malta, some Italian regions and Greece have relatively high per hectare conversion payment rates (in general)
- In terms of average payments according to land use (grassland, arable land, fruits, vineyards...), the ranking of MS varies.
- For instance, Farmers in Sweden, Poland, Estonia, Bulgaria and Czech Republic receive the lowest grassland payments. Payment rates for arable land are highest in Cyprus
(potatoes), Malta, Greece (corn), Sweden, some Italian regions and Belgium.
- Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Luxembourg, Malta, Sweden and Portugal, are the MS where payment rates vary the most depending on land type
- Only Austria and Finland have uniform payments rates, not regarding to land use.
- Organic beekeeping conversion exists only in Austria, Bulgaria, Estonia, Spain
- Estonia, Spain, Cyprus, Finland, Greece and Italy: livestock payments (per unit or per hectare)
- Payments rate vary during the 5 years period of transition: higher for the 2-3 first years in a half of the MS
