POLICY
WHAT IS CCE ?
-Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation
It is a continuous and complete assessment that focuses
on academic as well as co-curricular development of the
students.
Emphasizes on a two fold objective :
Continuity in evaluation and assessment of board based
learning
Behavioral outcome
It helps in the improvement of students achievement
through continuous diagnosis, remediation,
encouragement and appreciation.
FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT
Assessment for learning.
Formative assessment or diagnostic testing is a
range of formal and informal assessment
procedures employed by teachers during the
learning process in order to modify teaching and
learning activities to improve student attainment.
Every Sunday of the week school will conduct
cyclic test of 25 marks. (It is mandatory for all
students to attend. Retest will not be conducted).
Students failing to attend due to health reasons
need to inform the supervisor and support with
medical certificates.

In each Formative assessment 2 Activities ( project / PPT / Group Discussion etc) will be
graded and the average will be considered , followed by a cycle test - paper pen test for 25
marks conducted during zero period on Sunday.
Weightage
First Term-FA1(10%)+FA2(10%)+SA1(30%)=50%
Second Term-A1(10%)+FA2(10%)+SA1(30%)=50%
Formative Assessments-1+2+3+4=40%
Summative Assessment-1+2=60%

No student is allowed to avail leave with our prior permission,
in other words - Leave can be availed only upon prior written
permission/approval
In case of emergency, leave can be availed but needs to be
regularized in writing
If a student is absenting without prior permission and
continues to do so for more than three consecutive days,
suitable action shall be initiated
Leave can be availed/ granted on Medical grounds subject to a
condition of submission of Medical Certificate on the date of
joining school for regularization of absence
A total of 167 days of attendance is required to meet 95%
The 95% of attendance for appearing of Final/Board
Examinations ( Rules for shortage shall be as per CBSE Board )

INTRODUCTION
Under Article 19 of the UNCRC, the
School has an obligation towards child
protection in school. The authorities,
teachers and other adults engaged in
the process of schooling and teaching
are therefore duty bound to provide an
environment that supports and
promotes childrens dignity,
development and protection.

However, they may also share information directly with childrens social care,
police or the child protection center if:
the situation is an emergency and the designated senior person, their deputy, the
head teacher and the chair of governors are all unavailable
they are convinced that a direct report is the only way to ensure the childs safety.

A Feather in the cap of BRS an Educational and Fun Trip
to the United States Of America.
Bright Riders School organised its first overseas trip to
The United States of America. The students visited New
York city ,Washington, DC , Universal studios, Disney's
Hollywood Studios .
The students took a tour to NASA facility and
Apollo/Saturn V Centre They saw rockets and their
launch pads, Apollo/Saturn V Centre and relive Neil
Armstrong's first steps on the moon and experience
the thunderous rumble of a rocket lift-off!

OUR SCHOOL WON 9 TROPHIES IN DIFFERENT
CATEGORIES IN THIS EVENT CONDUCTED BY
ABU DHABI UNIVERSITY.

Inter School Athletics Meet for Boys held on
27th November, 2014 in Abu Dhabi Indian
School . Our school won two Gold Medals,
One Bronze Medal and One Best Athlete
Trophy.
