WHAT IS CCE ?
-Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation
It is a continuous and complete assessment that focuses
on academic as well as co-curricular development of the
students.
Emphasizes on a two fold objective :
Continuity in evaluation and assessment of board based
learning
Behavioral outcome
It helps in the improvement of students achievement
through continuous diagnosis, remediation,
encouragement and appreciation.

FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT
Assessment for learning.
Formative assessment or diagnostic testing is a
range of formal and informal assessment
procedures employed by teachers during the
learning process in order to modify teaching and
learning activities to improve student attainment.
Every Sunday of the week school will conduct
cyclic test of 25 marks. (It is mandatory for all
students to attend. Retest will not be conducted).
Students failing to attend due to health reasons
need to inform the supervisor and support with
medical certificates.

Attendance Policy
No student is allowed to avail leave with our prior permission,
in other words - Leave can be availed only upon prior written
permission/approval
In case of emergency, leave can be availed but needs to be
regularized in writing
If a student is absenting without prior permission and
continues to do so for more than three consecutive days,
suitable action shall be initiated
Leave can be availed/ granted on Medical grounds subject to a
condition of submission of Medical Certificate on the date of
joining school for regularization of absence
A total of 167 days of attendance is required to meet 95%
The 95% of attendance for appearing of Final/Board
Examinations ( Rules for shortage shall be as per CBSE Board )

2015-16

INTRODUCTION
Under Article 19 of the UNCRC, the
School has an obligation towards child
protection in school. The authorities,
teachers and other adults engaged in
the process of schooling and teaching
are therefore duty bound to provide an
environment that supports and
promotes childrens dignity,
development and protection.

Purpose of this policy


To promote a safe and positive environment in school,
conducive for learning and development, in partnership
with children
To provide the schools position on safety and protection of
children and the measures taken for ensuring the same

school authorities and other stakeholders
To enable staff and others recognize signs of abuse or
situation when a child may require protection and help;
and importantly enable them to report or bring to the

WHEN A CHILD DISCLOSES


INFORMATIONS TO YOU
Allow them to speak freely.
Remain calm and do not over react the child may stop talking if
they feel they are upsetting you.
Give reassuring nods or words of comfort Im so sorry this has
happened, I want to help, This isnt your fault, You are doing the
right thing in talking to me.
Do not be afraid of silences remember how hard this must be for
the child.
Under no circumstances ask investigative questions such as how
many times this has happened, whether it happens to siblings too,
or what does the childs mother thinks about all this.
At an appropriate time tell the child that in order to help them you
must pass the information on.

police or the child protection center if:
the situation is an emergency and the designated senior person, their deputy, the

A Feather in the cap of BRS an Educational and Fun Trip
to the United States Of America.
Bright Riders School organised its first overseas trip to
The United States of America. The students visited New
York city ,Washington, DC , Universal studios, Disney's
Hollywood Studios .
The students took a tour to NASA facility and
Apollo/Saturn V Centre They saw rockets and their
launch pads, Apollo/Saturn V Centre and relive Neil
Armstrong's first steps on the moon and experience
the thunderous rumble of a rocket lift-off!

Outstanding Performance by the Young Swimmers of


Bright Riders School CBSE UAE Cluster Swimming
Competition-2014-15 The students of Bright Riders
School made the alma mater proud by winning
altogether 10 medals (02 Gold, 4 Silver and 4 Bronze)
in the CBSE UAE Cluster Tournament which was held at
DPS-DUBAI on 22nd and 23rdof September, 2014.
Two of our young swimmers were selected for the
CBSE SWIMMING NATIONAL level Competition 201415, which was held at URMI SCHOOL, VADODARA,
Gujarat INDIA from 15th to 19th October, 2014.
