Tuesdays with Morrie is the comedic and touching autobiographical story

of Mitch Albom, an accomplished journalist driven solely by his career,
and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor. Sixteen years after
graduation, Mitch happens to catch Morrie's appearance on a television
news program and learns that his old professor is battling Lou Gehrig's
Disease. Mitch is reunited with Morrie, and what starts as a simple visit
turns into a weekly pilgrimage and a last class in the meaning of life.

The Diary of Anne Frank

In this powerful Anne Frank adaption by Wendy Kesselman, Anne Frank emerges from
history a living, lyrical, intensely gifted young girl, who confronts her rapidly changing life
and the increasing horror of her time with honesty, wit, and determination.
An impassioned drama about the lives of eight people hiding from the Nazis in a
concealed storage attic, "The Diary of Anne Frank", captures the realities of their daily
existance...fear, hope, laughter, grief. Each day Anne's voice shines through, ".....
I still believe, in spite of everything, people are truly good at heart".
PCT will be casting ten actors. 4 adult males, 3 adult females, 2 teenage girls and 1 teenage
boy. Ages represent the age of the "character". This production will not be using accents with
onstage characters.

Characters needed are:

Anne Frank....youngest daughter of Otto and Edith....Anne is a lively, curious girl of thirteen ( at the beginning of the play)...imaginative and creative
Otto Frank......(male, early 50's).....polite....practical....calm...very close to Anne
Edith Frank.....(female, early 40's).....reserved and nervous....but strong
Margot Frank...(female, teens)....Anne's older sister by three years....quiet, modest, reserved
Putti VanDann...(male, early 40's)....irritable, former business partner of Otto's
Petronell Van Dann....(female, early 40's).....VanDaan's vain and finicky wife
Peter Van Dann....(male, teens)....a shy, quiet boy who becomes Anne's good friend
Jan Dussel....(male, early 50's).....Jewish dentist who joins the Franks in hiding
Miep Gies...(female, mid 30's).....Mr Frank's secretary who aids the families in hiding
Mr. Kraler......(male, 40's)......a businessman who helps Miep and the Frank s

due by the May Board meeting and should be sent to Jerry Zimmerman. Find the forms
on the website and they can be emailed to him at fortfoodfun@bright.net.

Keep checking the website and the ebay store for new and exciting theater and

Programming Division: Mitch reported the Guide/Respondent program has already
been used by 5 groups in four different regions. All regions should encourage the use of
this service, since the first 2 uses are free. Written responses to the use by the groups
are needed to improve the process and to use for funding. Forms for all tech
competitions are on the website, but need to be updated. Kathie will send info to Jesse
for the updates. She is currently looking to find judges for each of the areas of competition. Groups are urged to start submitting entries now. The Script Library has had a
couple of requests recently that have been filled by Aara. The State Conference Steering
Committee recently met with the hotel, which is eagerly anticipating our return. Everything else is progressing nicely. Leigh reported plans for OCTA, Jr. are being made. A
survey is being prepared to learn preferences on location, date, workshop subjects, and
anticipated participation in the Jr. festival and State Conference. Entry forms for OCTA
Fest are being updated. An attempt to increase information distribution is being
studied.
The Membership/Marketing/Public Relations Division held Website training for Division members; reviewed the Wild Play Bill Roundup material for Board members and
regional reps and finalized the guidelines of how this would work; reviewed the New
Member brochure and content that needs updated. Division members also talked about
topics for the January meeting and the July Membership retreat. Cuelines will be adding some new articles including shout outs, theater spotlights, OCTA Jr., and where
are they now. Like our FACEBOOK page for networking opportunities and to keep current on OCTA
happenings.

Visit the OCTA website for all OCTA news and meet the OCTA Board Members and
