This week we are learning:
Circle Time Review
This week the students continue to review
the landscape, where transportation can
travel by sea, land and sky. The
vocabulary will continue to be: On the
Road, in the sky, on the sea and under the
sea and on the train tracks.
We will also play the games we played last
week where The students will be put into
one or more trains by having them line up
and hold onto each others shoulders.
Shout out words such as slowly, quickly
to direct them around the room and so on.

Phonics

Monday - Sing ABC's. Alphabet

lineup- Give each student a letter
and have them line up in
alphabetical order.
Tuesday EP Phonics book
Wednesday- Sing the ABC's.
Fishing game. Fish for the correct
letter. Students must say the letter
name.
Thursday - EP Phonics book
Friday - Sing ABC's. Alphabet
lineup- Give each student a letter
and have them line up in
alphabetical order.

Opposites
Activity Time

Vocabulary: fast/slow, loud/quiet, boy/girl, happy/sad, big/small, yes/no, up/down,

open/close, clean/dirty, long/short, tall/short, full/empty, more/less, heavy/light
Sentence structure: What is the opposite? It is slow/fast etc
What is this? It is fast

Games:
Game: Match the opposite game- Have students match opposites
Game: Four corners
Put a flashcard in each corner of the room. Get all students into the middle of the
classroom in a huddle. When you call out a word they must race by crawling,
hopping, frog leaping, skipping, dancing or doing any other action to the correct
card and shout out the vocabulary, continue until 1 child remains.

New (letters/sounds/vocabulary)
This week the students will be revising the blending sounds.
Writing Practice
The students will be writing number
7 in their number books, the
students will be tracing, circling
groups of 7 and number
recognition.
During Phonics the students will be
focusing on the letter Ff. The
students will be colouring in the
correct picture with the correct Ff
initial sound and the students will
be revising the the letters a, b, c, d
and e,
