Step 1: Print out, cut out all of the parts of the

Stearman shown in the PDF plan, beveling the
hinged edges, and painting the parts as
necessary.

Step 2: Slide the horizontal fuselage into the upper

vertical fuselage, applying glue along the joint and
to the tabs.

Step 3: Attach the lower vertical fuselage to the

upper vertical fuselage, applying glue along the
joint and to the tabs.

Step 4: Slide the lower wing in the lower vertical

fuselage, applying glue to the joint.

Step 5: Attach the upper wing to the upper vertical

fuselage, applying glue to the joint.

Step 6: Attach the right and left wing struts to the

wings, applying glue to the joints.

Step 7: Insert the 31.5in (800mm) carbon-fiber

tube in the upper wing, gluing or taping it into
place.

Note: Be sure that the ailerons and their mounting

surfaces are beveled before completing this step.
Step 8: Hinge the left and right ailerons to the wing
using clear tape.

Note: Be sure that the elevator and its mounting

surface are beveled before completing this step.
Step 9: Hinge the elevator to the horizontal
stabilizer using clear tape.

Note: Be sure that the rudder and its mounting

surface are beveled before completing this step.
Step 10: Hinge the rudder to the vertical stabilizer
using clear tape.

Step 11: Bend the landing gear from a 2mm metal

using the front and side views provided in the
image to the right.

Note: You may need to remove a small piece of

foam to allow the landing gear to slide into place.
Step 12: Install the gear to the lower wing,
applying glue to the joint.

Step 13: Attach the motor to its 5mm square motor

mount tube. Install the mount to the vertical and
horizontal fuselages, applying glue to the joint.
