The CSIR-Central Road Research lnstitute (CRRI), New Delhi, a constituent laboratory of the Council
of Scientific and lndustrial Research (CSIR), provides high quality and globally acceptable research
and consultancy services in the area of highway and road transportation technology. Establishment in
1952, the major activities of the Institute relate to pavement design and performance, road condition
monitoring, pavement deterioration modeling, landslide management and hazard mitigation, and
improved transportation planning for emerging urban needs.
