Herb: AGAR AGAR #3324
Botanical name: Gelidiella
acerosa Origin: Jap an

Therapeutic actions: Aperient; Demulcent; Laxative; Nutritive.


Drug interactions: No known drug interactions.
Description: It is a substance obtained from several varieties of seaweed. If
added to water, it swells to several times its original volume and solidifies as a
transparent, colorless, odorless gel.
Internal uses: As a laxative, used for constipation when the stool is dry and hard.
Suggested dosage:

1-3 teaspoons 1-3 times daily.

CAUTION: Should only be ingested with adequate liquid.

Botanical name: Agrimonia
eupatoria Origin: Bulgaria

Therapeutic actions: Astringent; Analgesic; Anti-inflammatory; Anti-viral;


Cholagogue; Coagulant; Diuretic; Depurative; Emmenagogue; Hemostatic; Tonic;
Vermifuge; Vulnerary.
Nutrients: Iron, flavonoids, silica, vitamins B and K.

Description: Agrimony is high in nutrients which are necessary for normal
healthy functioning of the body especially of benefit to the colon, intestines, liver
and kidney.
Internal uses: Agrimony has a reputation for healing jaundice, stimulating the
flow of bile and other liver problems. It is considered useful for healing diseases of
the blood resulting in skin eruptions, helps the kidneys to pass fluid, a tonic for the
digestive system, to promote assimilation of food and as a stomach tonic. Helpful for
acidity and gastric ulcers, toning to the mucus membranes of the digestive system,
healing for colitis, used to treat rheumatism and gout because it counters the high
uric acid levels. It has been used as a treatment to stop bleeding, excessive
menstrual flow and blood in the urine. Other uses include: incontinence.
External uses: It has been used on wounds and cuts and has also been used as a
mouthwash or gargle for sore throats and inflamed gums.

Suggested dosage: 3-6 grams daily.

sativa Origin: USA

Therapeutic actions: Anti-inflammatory; Anti-fungal; Alterative; Anodyne;


Anti-pyretic; Anti-rheumatic; Anti-scorbutic; Aperitive; Diuretic; Depurative;
Galactogogue; Stomachic; Tonic.
Nutrients: All the known vitamins and minerals with higher amounts of
calcium, folate, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, vitamins A, B1, B6,
B12, C, D, E, K and all the essential amino acids.
Drug interactions: No known drug interactions.

Description: Alfalfa has been useful to generate energy and


endurance. It has also helped to alkalize and detoxify the body.
Internal uses: Proven to have a cholesterol lowering effect; has
been helpful in the treatment of arthritis, used as a blood builder,
blood purifier and in the treatment of cancer. It helps to bind and
eliminate carcinogens from the body. It may reduce tissue damage
from radiation therapy. It has been used in treating bleeding
disorders. It is for morning sickness and menopause. Other uses:
acidity, allergies, anemia, appetite stimulant, Bells palsy, bursitis,
cholesterol, diabetes, fatigue, gout, hemorrhages, lactation,
pituitary gland and ulcers.
Suggested dosage: 500-1000mg daily. Tincture: 1-2 ml 2-3
times daily.
CAUTION: Not recommended for use by persons taking
blood thinning agents.

diabetes, depression, liver problems, hay fever, tonsillitis,
chronic fatigue, lack of energy, high blood pressure, insomnia,
asthma, amenorrhea, spastic colon, intestinal parasites and
urinary tract infections.
External uses: Burns, gingivitis, acne, bunions, corns,
arthritis, tennis elbow, dandruff, hair loss, sunburn, stretch
marks, sun spots, skin cancer, liver spots, itching, radiation
burns, ulcers, heat rashes, chapped skin, eye infections,
abscesses, hemorrhoids, insect bites, allergies, chickenpox,
shingles, hives, athletes foot, bed sores, chronic ulcers,
varicose veins and psoriasis.
Suggested dosage: 50-200 mg daily.
CAUTION: Should not be used if you have or develop
diarrhea, loose stools or abdominal pain. It has no side

effects, only rare cases of allergies have been reported.
