Save our ticket offices!

We call on the Mayor of London to reverse the cuts to Epping Forest ticket office opening hours.
In particular we call on the Mayor to keep the ticket offices staffed in the evenings and at night.

Buckhurst Hill Lib Dems working hard all year round

Fair taxes that put money back
Nationally into your pocket
Under the Liberal Democrats you would not have to pay tax on the first £10,000
you earn. That would put £100 back into the pocket of pensioners, £700 back in
the pockets of anyone earning over £10,000 and
£1,400 back in the pockets of a couple each
earning over £10,000.
Under the Liberal
Democrats you would not
pay tax on the first
Locally
Everyone knows how hard it has been recently.
£10,000 you earned. That
is a tax cut of £700 a year.
That is why the Liberal Democrats proposed a
0% rise this year in the district council tax. The
Conservatives opposed this and used their majority to make us all pay 1.5% more. Whilst the Conservative-run
district and county councils put the council tax up, Lib Dem-run Buckhurst Hill Parish Council froze the council
tax. This means that local residents are paying the same as they did last year.

A fair chance for every child

Nationally
The Liberal Democrats will invest in our schools. The extra funding will help reduce class si
sizes, improve discipline and develop one-to-
one tuition. The Liberal Democrats have
also reaffirmed their pledge to axe tuition
fees.

for our schools helping to reduce class
sizes and develop one-to-one tuition. That is why they upgraded the playground in Roding Valley Recreation Ground and invested
in a new ball court. They are now investing in new facilities at the King Place Playground.

A fair future: create jobs by making

Nationally Britain greener
The Liberal Democrats will invest in public transport, begin a programme of home insulation and
build new social housing. Liberal Democrats will support investment in greener energy sources. They
will oppose more runways for Heathrow and Stanstead.

Locally
Councillors Ann Haigh and Peter Spencer are urging residents to shop locally. `Our shopkeepers
need the support of residents at this difficult economic time,` Ann and Peter said. `Business rates
have been sharply increased and we need to think `SOS` -- Save Our Shops. It did not help in January
when many residents could not reach Queens Road because their roads and pavements had not
been gritted and Queens Road itself had not been given priority treatment.`

A fair deal for you from the politicians

Nationally
More and more people are frustrated and disappointed about the way people
in power have let us down. The Liberal Democrats are the only party
committed to real change in our political system, flushing out big money and
corrupt donors and reducing the number of MPs by 150. The Liberal
Democrats would give you the right to sack your MP.

Locally
Epping Forest residents are angry that their local MP claimed for a second
home when they commute daily into London. They are angry our MP profited
from her tax payers- funded second home. Residents have told us they are pleased to receive FOCUS all year
round. Councillors Ann Haigh, Jill Sutcliffe, Angela Cass and Joyce Darby are always on hand to help. They
live in Buckhurst Hill and they stand up for local residents on the district and parish councils.
