B. Review
Last meeting we read the story Outwitting A
Crocodile. What lesson did we learn from the
story?
Very well said, it taught us to think logically
and be wary of our surroundings.
What Philippine folktale can we compare the
story to?
Yes, exactly. Because like Sang Kancil,
Pilandok is also a mouse deer who likes
playing tricks on others especially those who
are bad and mean.

Dont get easily fooled.

We can compare it to Pilandok.

C. Motivation
Class do you want to play a game?
The title of this game is The Longest List.
The class should be divided into 4 groups.
Count off, one, two, three, four Now, choose
your leader. Leaders come forward. Pick one
paper (coin, book, shoe, stuff toy). (will give
the student the corresponding material on their
paper) In one minute you have to describe the
object that is written on your paper. List words
that describe your object on this manila paper.
Later you will have to post your answers on the
board. The group that has listed the most
describing words wins the game and will
receive a prize.
Questions? If none, let the game begin!

Yes maam!

the price)

Yes, you are correct. Adjectives are describing

When we speak about one person or thing, we
use the positive degree.

Comparative degree
When we compare two persons or two things
with each other.
*add -er to the end of the word
*add more to the front of the word
Example:
a. She is braver than the other girls.
b.She is more brave than the other girls.
Can you give an example?
Well said!
Superlative degree
When we compare more than 2 persons or
things with another.
There are two ways that you can change
*add -est to the end of the word
