VBS Recruitment!!!
We had a very good Vacation Bible School
planning meeting Tuesday night! This years
VBS will be June 6-10 (Mon.-Fri.), 9 am to 12
noon. We have a recruitment group in place to
obtain volunteers to make this years VBS
successful! If you can help out in any way
please contact Tanya Spillman, Joy Tucker
or Scott Williams. Or you can email or call
the church office and the information will
passed along to one of the recruiters! Please
make an effort to participate in this years VBS
and lets make 2016 the best VBS yet!!

WOM will meet at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 2nd in the Fellowship Hall. Bring 3-4 dozen
cookies if possible. If you cant come and want to contribute, you can leave your cookies in the Fellowship Hall before Tuesday. We will be delivering these to the fire stations and police departments.
Bring a sack lunch. Drinks and dessert will be provided. I hope everyone will come and be a part of
this wonderful group of ladies doing Gods work and will in His church.

My Cup OverflowsSouthside Coffee and Tea Room

Join us Sunday mornings in our coffee and tea room located in Room 106. We are open from 8:40
to 9:20 a.m. but coffee is available until 10:20. We have coffee, tea, other beverages, and refreshments. February refreshments are provided by Geno Shireys class and Linda McKees class will
provide the refreshments in March.

Disaster Relief Training

If you are interested in being a part
of the Disaster Relief Team there
will be a training session February
5th and 6th at Emmanuel Baptist Church in
Athens. Contact Geno for more information and
to register.

CCC Soup KitchenFeb. 18th

We will be preparing
the food for the CCC
Soup Kitchen on Thursday, February 18th.
Donations to help purchase the food would
be appreciated. You
can place your donation
in the offering plate
just be sure to mark
your envelope or check for CCC SOUP
KITCHEN. Please see Sharon Shirey if you are
interested in helping serve the food at the CCC.

Men, brotherhood breakfast will be Sunday,

February 7th at 8 a.m. We are blessed to have
one of our own as speaker. George Mills is
well known in our church and in the city of Decatur. He is also widely known for his work in
the Masonic organization. While in the military,
George was a P.O.W. After hearing his story,
you truly will know, he was in Gods hands. He
is a hero to us all. Dont forget that photos from
our Brotherhood breakfasts are on the website
under Mens Ministries.
