SOAP PROCESSING (BAR) AND MANUFACTURING: (PLANT)

The proposal is quite rare process due to minimum competition in the market level. Currently the
most giant processing companies are not more than two hence then giving us a motivation to
proceed with our manufacturing industry. The very famous and marketable bar soaps include
Jamaa and Kuku Soaps. Therefore minimum competition in the market gives us great
opportunity to establish a processing and manufacturing plant in Kenya. Other toilet soap which
compete internationally in accordance with the cost of living in Kenya, many people use bar soap
for bathing and cleaning services. Statistically, bar soaps are the most frequently and marketable
due to the following:a)
b)
c)
d)

PRODUCTION AREA
In any area of production, the management has to observe that no losses or negative incidences
occur. The plant manager and production personnel have to examine that all the rules needed for
the company to grow are adhered to by every working person on save gear. The manager
therefore establishes for the motive of the company, objectives, mission, vision for the personnel
to understand and uplift for the good of the company.
The machine to start with, is well manufactured and automated. According to the speed of
production, the machine produces 144 bar soaps per every sixty minutes each weighing 800g to

1000g. In the current market for a bar soap to start with and be absorbed in the market having
done the calculation of the cost of raw materials and Labour cost sell it for Kshs 110.
Therefore in 24 hours run= 24x144= 3456 Pcs of bar soaps
Then the number of hourly production multiplied by the cost per piece = 24 x 144= 3456
