Dreams
Dreams are actually an important part of physical, mental, and spiritual health.
Everyone dreams 5-6 times every night. We may not be able to recall that many dreams, but
they do happen.
Dreaming helps sort out conflicts that we are unable to resolve during our waking hours.
Dreams are associated with alpha brain waves, which are the most rejuvenating part of sleep.
AUCTION
People can improve their recall of dreams by keeping a journal at your bedside and writing down
part of the dream as soon as you wake up. Practicing this will greatly enhance your recollection
of your dreams.
Dreams may have meaning. Some dreams have been called precognitive because they will
actually precede some event. Six times in my life I have had a dream of someone driving a hearse.
Big Rapids
In all but one case the driver of the hearse has passed away within one week of the dream. This
was really frightening until I understand what it was all about.
Most of us do not know it, but we can participate in our dreams. If you
Church of Nazarene
have a dream where someone is chasing you, turn around and chase him
back. That dream will never recur again. If your children have bad dreams
teach them “Monster Control”. Just tell them to point their finger at the
scary thing and it will shrink down so small they can hold it in their hand
and play with it. This is a great tool for teaching ourselves to make “mole
hills out of mountains”. 1st Annual Consignment and Donation
