LIVING A HOLY LIFE

Joshua 7; 10 - 13
God is faithful and does not leave the church. He is risen and will not forsake
His church despite the discouragement. He is still present. Message to the
youth: Stand up and look around. Look and seek for the owner of the
church! When God is present and sees something He is not pleased with, He
does not leave - He withdraws from the forefront. This is the story of Israel
being defeated by Ai and Joshua never relaxed, he cried. People nowadays
sit in times when the church is being defeated. God says, "Get up because
there is sin in the camp!"
Sometimes it is a problem that we enjoy "being in the spirit" more than we
value getting to heaven. Heaven is inherited by God's will and salvation is by
grace. As the church we are not married to Jesus yet, we are still engaged.
There will be no divorce once the marriage has happened. However, in
engagement there is still a possibility of getting disqualified. That is why Paul
beat down his flesh. Rejoice because your names are recorded in the Lamb's
book of life and not because you cast out demons and testify; you CAN still be
disqualified.
Akan stole: something was wrong and the whole nation having crossed Jordan
and seen the walls of Jericho fall, were defeated. A dead dog smells, but not
as bad as sin smells before God. If you want to see God leaving, put sin at
the centre of your actions. Services are held but it is possible for God to
withdraw because of sin.
God sees secrets: hidden sins. He does see the Christian that is apparently
on fire for God with his gifts and he sees past that through to the sin and He
withdraws. God is not driven by the songs we sing. Sin makes people work.
The devil knows a secret: if you seperate a person from God and make him
sin, you make that person naked. Adam and Eve because of God's glory were
naked and unashamed because of the glory.
People do not actually fight you, they just fight God. Sin, however, fights
YOU! You must defeat it all the time. It is unfortunate that we carry around
sin and yet people want to get obssessed with positions so that they can hide
behind them. If some people were removed from their positions they would
have difficulty worshipping. Some people hide behind their gifts but God
sees past that. Jesus is coming back and will not take the gift, he will take
the person, the possessor of the gift. God had no problem with Israel, but he
had a problem with the sin among them. Sin removes God's glory from you.
If there is sin amongst us God's finger will be absent.
The wise witchdoctors of Egypt are the ones that told Pharoah that the finger

of God was in Moses's acts. We need the finger of God, that is the important
thing. When we see sin in the church we ignore it but it is present in the
church. The way we defeat it: Confess it and leave it. David would come
back and confess. If you continue with your sin just because people are
appluding you, you will rise in the church but will never enter into heaven.
Soccer players seem like weaklings when they lie down due to injury on the
field. In the church, people continue to run with the wound and that wound
begins to eat at them while it's a cub - it grows into a full - grown lion and
then devours them. When Jesus is the referee, He waits for you. He watches
you score and run around, he does not give you a red card until the game is
done and then you are disqualified with all your goals having been worthless.
He sees all the cheating you do during the game and will only take out the
yellow and red card all at the same time - the end of the game.
You are enjoying sin on the one side and healing the sick on the other; YOU
ARE OFF-SIDE! Many of your goals don't count to God. It does not matter
how hard you have worked in the church. If there is sin, it will speak out.
Confess your sin. Do not try to explain the hardship and just how difficult it is
for you to deal with it. The sin will not be cancelled just because you get
married.
People think that getting married nullifies the pre-marital sins they
committed. If you get married while struggling with sin (eg. fornication), that
sin will graduate onto a higher level (eg. adultery). Adam and Eve ate once
and moved away. They didn't just come back to God all covered meanwhile
asking Him to bless the fruit they had already eaten. If the young people in
our church keep entering into marriage through windows, what will become of
this church?
SIN ALWAYS EXPANDS
Jesus got into the temple filled with tables as people were trading and
fornicating. He turned every table without fear or favour. Hallelujah! Sin
cannot be defeated by gift or marriage.
Sin disturbs. Your gift is not working properly. There is a difference between
the singing of a man sitting on sin and that of a man living a holy life. If you
are holy God knows the difference.
Samuel had the same pressure as Eli;s sons but never did what they did.
They were sleeping with women in the temple. He did not have the
experience if God's voice but he lived a holy life .
Sin is not destroyed by fame. Even if the whole world knows you, sin is just
too dirty. It allows you to conceal it amd then when you get to your high

point and you are chariman, it destroys you by exposing exposing itself. Akan
sinned and Ai defeated God's armies.
Sin is not destroyed by be your calling or preaching. What destroys sin is
confessing it and then leaving it. Jesus simply removes Himself. All people
living a doggish lifestyle are outside of God's kingdom even if they are saved.
It is just a shame that the dog footprints are all over the church.
A dog cannot stick to its wife. Even if a dog gets engaged or married it will
destroy the engagement or marriage. Dogs are outside God's kingdom! In
order to serve, have a clean record. If you serve the church with a bad
record, the work you do will not be in collaboration with God. When someone
has sinned, that person must be put aside. God will never use the person
who is living in sin. You need to walk far from sin. If a sin is present in a
preacher of the word, it is obviously stubborn.
Some people in the church are worshipping in pain because they cannot
rebuke the sin that is people serving in the forefront. God will not be silent.
As a congregation we are sinful, the sin of jealousy is present in us. People
are jealous of each other. When you are on fire people will say you are cold
because they are jealous. When others get married or blessed in any way,
jealousy scorns and says that the blessings are not of God.
The church has the sin of hatred. Bretheren shake hands but the smell of sin
is pungent. We lack love, we are impatient and we refrain from greeting
some bretheren. Because there is no love there is disparity no matter how
much goldy truth is preached. A church with no love will never grow.
In the church we have the sin of pride which has penetrated us. People
refrain from speaking about Jesus but about themselves. The demon and sin
of love for money has dog feet. When it possesses you, you walk like a dog.
The devil will never let that demon from his camp. It is in the hot and cold
Christians, the leaders and the followers. Money gets lost in the church and
yet the devil has never come into the church holding a gun ready to rob the
church.
The gays and lesbians are among us. How will we overcome? We must take
a step back and search. Let us not allow this sin to defeat us as the church of
Jesus Christ. What has the ability and is actively defeating the church right
now is sin.
People's mouths speak all the right things but their character needs help. A
sinner must be removed! Let us not try to be understanding. The devil has a
table to connect sinners who want to get married in the church. Jesus went
into the temple and overturned the tables!

Jesus defeated sin. Sin is waiting at your door and you must ALWAYS defeat
it. The camp stoned Akan.
If you confess your sin, it is forgiven, if not it is not forgiven.
