2.1
There are three (3) different arm assemblies available: left-hand/right-hand swing out
(LHSO/RHSO), left-hand swing in (LHSI) and right-hand swing in (RHSI).
The swing out assembly (LHSO/RHSO) can be used on both swing out model operators.
Refer to Figure 6.
The swing in arm assemblies are nearly identical to each other with the exception of the
arm, depending whether it is a left-hand or right-hand door opening. Refer to Figures 7 and
8.
Each arm assembly is shipped pre-assembled. To mount the arm assembly on the operator,
proceed as follows:
Ensure the door is in the closed position and the operator has spring tension, refer to
section 2.0 for spring tension setting instructions.
2)
Slide the Arm assembly over the spring shaft and loosely secure with the provided
x Pan Head Phillips screw through the bottom of the arm and spring shaft. Refer to

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT
The battery back-up wires are shipped disconnected. Connect the red and black wires to
T4-1 (negative) and T4-2 (positive) terminals and check the F1 fuse for continuity.
2.2.1 Doors by Others Only
Commanders shipped for a 120 volt power supply are provided with a 16 volt stepdown
transformer.
Connect the transformer wires into the TAC-1 and TAC-2 terminals on the Operator
Control Board (PN 772345). Refer to Figure 13.
2)
Commanders shipped for a 220 volt power supply, require a 16 volt transformer to be provided
by others. If the door is equipped with an electric strike lock, connect lock wiring to terminal
TSS on the Operator Control Board.
2.2.2 Optional Push Button Switch
Mount the switch in a convenient location on the wall near the door and connect the wiring
to TDOB-1 and TDOB-2 terminal. Refer to Figure 13.
2.2.3 Savaria Concord Lift or Elevator Doors
1)
Connect the supplied Operator harness into terminal T2 on the Operator Control Board.
Refer to Figure 13.
2)
Connect the other end of the harness to the lift Main Control Board appropriate Operator
terminal (i.e. TDOB, TDOM, TDOT for P.A.L.). Refer to the Electrical Schematics
supplied with the lift.
Initial Force Jumper, RH two pins for max. or LH two pins for min. Set to the minimum position
to get the door started.

Pot R13 Open Speed must be set to MIN. Remaining pots must be set to top
centre as shown in Figure 13.
3)
Slowly turn R13 Open Speed clockwise until the door opens. Leave R13 at this
setting.
4)
When R13 Open Speed is set to MAX, the board will shut down. Turn R13 Open Speed
counter-clockwise to MIN and repeat step 3.
2.3
The cams stop and start the opening and closing of the door however, if ne tuning is
required, there are ve (5) potentiometers located on the circuit board which can be adjusted.
In each case, turning the pot clockwise increases the value, counter-clockwise decreases
the value. Refer to Figure 13.
Refer to Figure 13 for pot layout.
1)
Press the Door Open button. The Open LED will come ON.
2)
Adjust the Open Speed pot to obtain the desired opening speed.
3)
Once the door reaches the open position, adjust the Backcheck (Hold Current) pot
to hold the door open against the return spring.
4)
When the open time expires and the door begins to close, adjust the Close Speed
pot to obtain the desired closing speed.
5)
Repeat the above procedures as many times as required to ne tune the settings
and adjust the Total Open Time pot.
6)
Adjust the Opening Force pot so that the door closes if it encounters an obstruction
while opening. The amount of force the door will apply to overcome any obstruction
or blockage is determined by the Opening Force/Overcurrent pot setting.

REMOTE CONTROL
The remote control is factory set and does not require any adjustment.
If required, refer to Section 2.6 for Code Setting Instructions provided for adjusting the
remote control and the receiver.
The remote control will not open the door unless the platform is at the correct level and
the door is unlocked. It is recommended that the remote receiver be removed from the
Commander unit and the elevator call button be used for these applications.
NOTE
2.6
Note that the Remote Control Receiver is factory installed in the Commander Door
Operator and pre-programmed with codes that match the Remote Control.
1)
To change the Remote Control codes, remove the cover and turn the selected toggle
switches ON. The Remote Control codes must match the Receiver codes. Refer to
Figures 15 and 16 Remote Control OEM Instructions.
2)
3)
4)
The Receiver switches are located on the rear side. Remove the cover and turn the
selected toggle switches ON, ensure that these exactly match the Remote Control
switches. Refer to Figure 17 Receiver OEM Instructions.
