Objectives

F.Y. Manalo Medical Foundation, Inc. is highly competitive, advanced and regulated.
Additionally, the FYMMFI is experiencing rapid changes, including operational updates
to accommodate requirements that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act
mandates. These changes create anxieties in healthcare professionals and care
recipients. In response to these challenges, managers in the industry set objectives to
make sure their organizations remain competitive, compliant and trustworthy.
Patient Safety

One of the primary objectives of the FYMMFI is patient safety. The foundation of all
medical ethics, from the Hippocratic Oath to the present day, is the maxim, "First, do no
harm". From hospitals to equipment manufacturers to pharmaceutical testing facilities,
each action, product or decision must be taken with the safety of the patient in mind. A
healthcare organization that sacrifices patient safety for quick profits will lose its
reputation, see declining revenues and face potentially devastating lawsuits.

Key Result Areas

The DOH classifies hospitals into four (4) levels depending on service capability, as
detailed in DOH Administrative Order no. 2005-0029.4. The FYMMFI have Level 3: A
departmentalized hospital that provides particular forms of treatment, surgical procedure
and intensive care. Clinical services provided include general medicine, paediatrics,
obstetrics, surgical gynaecology, tertiary clinical laboratory, secondary level radiology
and pharmacy.

Strategies

Strategic Priority: Patient Satisfaction

Patient Satisfaction reflects patients perceptions of the experience at FYMMFI,
including perceptions of overall quality of care and outcomes of care. Indirectly, patient
satisfaction reflects how well the Hospital is integrating care and disseminating
information about the Hospital and its services to community members and health
provider partners. In recent years, FYMMFI has placed priority on improving patient
satisfaction and efforts to date have resulted in modest positive improvements. While
FYMMFI is pleased with these achievements, greater improvement is necessary.

Activity/Programs/Projects

Lingap sa Mamamayan

This project was launched by Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the Executive Minister of the
Iglesia Ni Cristo, in Tondo, Manila, Philippines, last April 13, 2013. In his pastoral letter,
he stated: It is important that we inform our own countrymen that the Church Of Christ
has the true brotherhood. He likewise urged the brethren to further propagate the faith
and share the message of salvation to all humanity, especially to their countrymen.
Through the Felix Y. Manalo Foundation, thousands of indigents were given aid, such as
food, clothing, and medical and dental services. After this initial activity, the project is
now held regularly in different parts of the world.
Members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo volunteer their precious time and effort in extending

help to people regardless of their religious affiliation, in compliance with the biblical
mandate Love your Ieighbour as yourself (Matthew 22:39 NIV). Apostle Paul taught,
Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone
especially to those in the family of faith (Galatians 6:10 NLT).
