AbstractGlucosinolates composition and contents were evaluated taking 6 radishRaphanus

sativus L.cultivars as experiment materials. The result indicates that there are great differences among
total glucosinolates contents of different radish cultivars.Jinghong No.3, an autumn-red radish, has

the highest total glucosinolate content 480.9 molkg FW, followed byJingyanshuiguoxingluobo

318.8 molkg FW. The lowest concent is found inMantanghong213.9 molkg FW,
taking 44 % ofJinghong No.3content. After analyzing glucosinolates composition, we find 5 types of
radish glucosinolates, including 4-methylsulfinyl-3-butenyl-glucosinolates, 4-hydroxyindol-3methyl-glucosinolates, 4-methylthio-3-butenyl-glucosinolates, indol-3-methyl-glucosinolates and
4-methoxyindol-3-methyl-glucosinolates. The predominant glucosinolate in 6 radish varieties is
4-methylsulfinyl-3-butenyl-glucosinolate representing, taking about 70.5 %-87.5 % of the total
amount.
