Drawing Data Utility for Smart Plant PID
Duration (3 Months)
This project includes Creating interface using VB.NET to create
multiple P&ID Drawings of Smart Plant P&ID tool.
(1) Created Interface using VB.NET that connects to the database of
Smart Plant P&ID and displays Currently active Plant Structure and
respective drawings.
(2) Utility will allow user to input Drawing number and total number of
sheets required for that Drawing Number.
(3) User can also set different attributes of drawings. Utility will display
list of attributes present in Data Dictionary.
(4) User will be able to add sheets in existing Drawing and also update
attributes of existing drawing.
(5) Smart Plant PID APIs are used to implement different features of
this utility (for e.g. LAMA,PID Automation,etc.)

The Toyo Interface utility is used for data migration from MATMAN
(Material Management Software) to SPMAT and vice-versa.
This application consists of two modules:
(1) Importing Purchase Order (PO) data (piping and non-piping items)
from MATMAN to SPMAT.
(2) Exporting Daily Receipt Records (DRR) and Goods Inward Records
(GIR) from SPMAT to MATMAN
For importing data from MATMAN to SPMAT Xml files are used. This
utility will
Convert input PO text file (originating from MATMAN) into SPMAT
compatible PO XML file. Also it includes application to send email to
user using Lotus Notes.

This project includes Hangers and Supports Assembly Rule
Customization using Visual Basic 6.0.
(1) Worked on creation of 3D hangers and supports as per the
specifications provided.
(2) Search necessary support parts like Clevis, Eye nut, Turn buckle
etc., in SP3D Delivered assemblies.
(3) Calculate configuration index for creating joints between the
support parts.
(4) Customized 3D hangers and supports dll(s) using VB6.0 and make
sure that Place by Structure and Place by Point both work for the same
assembly placement.
(5) Tested and uploaded using SmartPlant 3D.
(6) Analyzed inputs as per the given Paper Specification.
