Future Homes
Have you ever wondered what the homes of the future will look like? No doubt they will be full of all
the latest technologies and we will be able to control everything using computers. We will probably be
able to watch TV, turn on and off appliances or access the Internet from any room in the house.
Future homes will definitely be smaller since more people are moving to cities. To deal with this
problem, we will have walls that move so we can change the size of any room. That way we can use
the same space for different uses. What's more, to make them prettier, we will be able to change the
colour of the walls at the touch of a button. In our high-tech kitchens we will have smart fridges and
all our food will have special stickers on them. Our fridges will be able to read these stickers to tell us
exactly what we have or need to buy. They will also be able to suggest recipes and order groceries.
There will definitely be plenty of clever robots in every home. These intelligent robots might not be
good at conversation but they will be a huge help around the house. Theyll help us with the
hoovering so our arms dont get tired. We might even have smaller machines for cleaning the toilets
and washbasins.
Finally, in the bedroom, our mirror will keep us informed. It will tell us what we have planned for the
day, report weather and traffic. It will also let us know if we need to exercise or have a bath.
