INTRODUCTION:
The unit under consideration is an industry, village and agriculture based. It
processed mostly from rural farmers. It is proprietary concern, being
established in melakasakudi village of nedunkadu commune panchayat of
karaikal region. Smt J.kamalatchi is the proprietor of the unit and is
administrated by her husband sir. V.jayabal, who is the proprietor of M\s.
karaikal ammaiyar milk dairy, started at karaikal down, which is a leading
milk supplying organization in this area. Ammaiyar dairy was registered
during the year 1995. On 2004 the milk processing unit was started. There
are 15000 milk producers in karaikal reign and more than 600 vendors
chilling centre of this units are located namakkal, neikaranpatti, and
Thiruthuraipoonti and bamani district.

HISTORY OF AMMAIYAR MILK SOCIETY, KARAIKAL


Ammaiyar milk dairy factory started at 2004 with the investment of
2130000. It was located on karaikal and occupying of 20 acres land. The
main process of milk society of purchasing and selling of milk. The productive
process will be handling in twice in a day like that day and evening in
approximately the day production process in 22000 liters and evening
production process is 18000 liters. They totally 40000 liters of the production
process were occurred by the milk society.

THE MAIN PROCESS OF THE MILK SOCIETY WAS AS


FOLLOWS:

Measure the milk and filter.


Cooling the milk.
Heat the milk with steamer machine for purifies the milk.
Homogenizes milk.
Cooling the milk again for maintain the milk in good condition.

Especially the purchase of milk was getting from only the cow with 4.0 fat,
snf, 8.0 fixation of price per litter is Rs 36 in the way of purchasing milk
was 50 Km around the milk factory. The purchasing category of milk
contain was 32c and then they will transfer in 9c after that the milk 82c.

In the milk society had been various types of products like,

In this society were having two techniques that are cooling and heating
techniques through the prospective machines. In the year 2015-2016 the
milk will be decided to purchasing the milk from buffalo with 6.0 fat, 8.0snf
the fixation of price per liter is Rs 48.

PRODUCTS
Ammaiyar milk dairy will be processing raw milk, by chilling, full cream milk. Toned
milk, pasteurizing, pouching and storing, avoiding spoilage of milk and, and
manufacturing milk products like butter, ghee, curt, paneer, milk gova ice cream
and flavored milk for which there is a growing demand everywhere.

It is a reputed organization in supply of milk and milk products for the
past fifteen years, in karaikal region and adjoining villages and towns
of Tamilnadu. It earned a good name in this area by maintaining best
standards in procuring, processing and marketing milk and products
over these years.
It provides loan facility to the farmers of this karaikal region and
