GENERAL INTENTIONS
On this film, my approach will be photographic. I aim to best emphasise the products design, beautify its
container and contents, and imbue it with a luxurious dimension. I believe that its essential to capture as
much of the footage in-camera as possible, and minimise post-production. Precision, moving light and
elegance are the drive of this film.
My graphics vision is uncluttered and contemporary, and I adhere to keeping things minimal. I wish to use
my strong aesthetic sensibilities to present the Lancome Renergie French Lift as an
exceptional product for women.

GENERAL INTENTIONS
The nocturnal world is used to give the product a sense of mystery. Light and perpetual motion will bring
life to the product, and reveal the innovative design of its cover. It is also imperative to use graphic tricks
to symbolise the night. Light caused by the moon and by eclipses will be the types of light that we will
employ.
Through the play of light Im going to use, I want to create constant
interaction between the product and the camera, which will give a real boost to the narration and make
an impactful film. The product will be given a spectacular aura, and introduced as if it were a newborn
star within the blackness.

LIGHTS
The key element of the film is the attention to light. The moving light will magnify the product, and also highlight various packaging materials
(gold metal, glass ...). It will help to show the many details of the container and massage disks design, as well as the texture of the cream. The
nocturnal world is the sole setting of the film, a world that is both sophisticated and captivating.
To symbolise the night, I will use an eect resembling an eclipse. A sliver of light in the darkness will illuminate the product so that its visible
portion takes the shape of a crescent moon.

The key element of the film is the attention to light. The moving light will magnify the product, and also highlight various packaging materials (gold metal, glass ...). It will help to show the many
details of its design and the texture of the cream. The nocturnal world is alone the set of the film,
a world that is both sophisticated and captivating.
To symbolise the night, I will use the eect produced by an eclipse which will discover some of the product. The visible part that will appear during the discovery will draw a crescent moon, which result in subtle night scene.

CAMERA
The camera will move with the light in a coordinated manner, and go around the product to enhance the details of the packaging.
Motion Control technology for our camera will allow the camera to perform fluid and relaxed motions. It will allow us to transition directly
from a shot of the front of the product to an overhead shot in a single, seamless, and easy movement.
The camera will be in perpetual motion throughout the shoot, to make the shots more engaging.

MATERIALS & TEXTURES


The product is comprised of dierent materials: gold-plated
metal, violet coloured glass, the massage disk, and of
course the cream itself.
It is imperative that all components of the product are
enhanced by the light, which will be in constant motion to
sculpt shapes and reveal the outer packagings finer details

BACKGROUND & SHADOWS

The environment surrounding the container will be


white. The shadows, which are produced by the lights
on the background, will bring mystery and elegance to
our image.
The silhouette of the container will be projected on to
the white matte surface. The transparency of the glass
container will allow the projector light to pass through.
The shadow on the wall will be stained with the
containers violet color. The containers glass make will
be identifiable by its shadow alone.
The combined constant movements of the lights and the
camera will give life to the projected shadows in the
background.

LIGHT EFFECTS

We will use gentle light eects to highlight select


parts of the jar, and add definition to the fine details
of its design. These slight alterations are what will
make all the dierence.
