1.1 Application procedures
-Fill in the application form after you have MATCHED
-Choose your insurance plan (VIP/CLASSIC)
-Include your signed signature
-Write down the starting date and ending date of your exchange, including the
pre and post trip!
-Send the application form to AXA via email
-Details will be announced on FACEBOOK GROUP soon!

1.4 Insurance Details
-Maximum 184 days for a single journey
-Start from leaving HK residence place (on the way to airport)
- Places with black travel alert CANNOT purchase this insurance.
1.5 Claiming details and reminders
-you MUST visit a doctor if you are sick in your exchange country
-If you lost your belongings, such as money and phone, you MUST REPORT to
the POLICE
-Follow-up fees will be included in AXA insurance package

4. Funding application
4.1 ISAS fund

1.

Targets and basic requirements:


- Full time undergraduate students (who are not in their final year of
study)
- Satisfactory academic performance
- With good standing in terms of conduct
2. Subsidy upon completion of the activities and requirements, up to
HK$23,000.
3. Applicants required submitting a proposal (objectives, budget, itinerary
etc.)
4. Application method:

4.2 Offshore WIE Sponsorship (OWS)

1. Student should be at the age of 18 before 30 April 2014


2. Applications MUST come with the purchase of a travel insurance plan
which covers the ENTIRE placement period (including the travelling to and
from the placement city).
3. OWS is NOT applicable to those non-local students whose placements take
place in their home cities.
4. Attendance of WIE pre-placement training is an application pre-requisite.
5. Hardship allowance:
Official documents are required to justify the students need for
financial assistance, e.g. approval letter of government grant and loan
6. Application deadlines: 2 APR, 29 APR, 4 JUN
7. Students are required to submit the following to their academic departments
for endorsement and approval
(1) Self Sourced Placement Application
(2) Bank account details via the Student Account Information System
8. Submit copy of EPAN and TNAN together with the application form

4.3 Chinese Mainland and Overseas Activities Fund for students


1. Subsidize individual full-time UGC funded students or student groups for
organizing non-course required / non-credit bearing activities in Chinese
mainland and overseas which are conducive to the promotion of the image of
the University, establishment of links between the University and other
Chinese or overseas institutions, and enhancement of understanding of China
and other overseas countries
Students of foundation year or self-financed courses will not be
considered
Course-required/ credit bearing programmes will not be considered

2. Subsidies will normally cover only part of the expenses incurred by


an activity.
3. Applications will be invited two times a year. The deadlines for the
two rounds of application are 29 November 2013 (1st Round) and 31
March 2014 (2nd Round) respectively.
** Deadline passed already. But still can try to send email to apply
and explain the situation e.g. not being matched or given offer of
exchange before deadline.**
4. Application form is obtainable at

5. Completed applications should be returned to the collection box (Box No.
C7) at Student Affairs Office (SAO) at ST314 with all supporting documents
before the deadline.Incomplete application form with insufficient supporting
documents will not be considered.
6. The proposed activity receiving other sources of sponsorship must be
declared in the application form.
