Job Description
To effectively manage the stewarding team, achieving excellent
standards in HACCP, developing and implementing strategies and
monitoring the par stock levels.

What will I be doing?


As a Chief Steward, you will manage the propertys Stewarding
Department. As the leader of this department it is expected that
you will handle equipment and working areas with consideration
of HACCP. Furthermore, you will work closely with the catering
unit, maintain par levels of stock and take corrective action to
maintain supply level. Specifically, the Chief Steward will perform
the following tasks to the highest standards:

Supervise and coordinate stewarding staff


Observe standards of excellence of the staff
Recruiting new staff
Produce reports
Develop and implement strategies for stewarding area that
are aligned with the companys food and beverage

objectives.
Provide employees with the tools and environment they
need to deliver the company experience.
Develop and implement strategies and practices that
support employee engagement.
Complete requisition forms for supplies
Schedule employees based upon forecasted volumes.

Train employees on proper cleaning methods and operation


of the equipment.
Ensure that all work surfaces are clean and sanitized
regularly

Job Requirements
What are we looking for?
To successfully fill this role, you shall reach these requirements,
skills and qualifications:

Bachelors degree in hospitality management


A minimum of 1 year experience in the field
Fluent in Spanish and English
Ability to delegate, organize and plan ahead
Wide knowledge of culinary bargaining techniques
Wide knowledge of kitchens, equipment, food production,

sanitation and safety


Experience in procurement of food and beverage for facility
Excellent ability of communicating with all clients
Ability to coordinate with management and associates
Ability to schedule activities with appropriate staffing
Ability to maintain all equipment to high standards, and

oversee staff
Ability to hire, train and develop ideas
Ability to prepare budgets and monitor profit and loss
statements
