ABSTRACT

A school is considered a performing learning institution when its achievement

in the different examinations is at standard with that of the national passing rate.
Failure to meet this requirement is a risk to any Universities. A reason why as a
Fishery Student, this Tracer Study of Employability of Bachelor of Science in
Fisheries Graduates of Romblon State University, Sta. Maria Campus, Sta.
Maria, Romblon S.Y. 2012-2015 will be conducted aiming to answer the following
problems:
1. What is the profile of the respondents as to age, gender, civil status,
present job or position, monthly income and nature of employment?
2. What is the employability status of BSFi-Graduates of RSU-Sta. Maria?
3. What is the significant relationship of their first job to the course they have
taken?
The tracer study will be conducted in the months of December to February,
School year 2015-2016 using the descriptive method of research. In which
apparently, descriptive method is the most appropriate method in tracing the
BSFi-Graduates Employability Status of RSU- Sta. Maria Campus.
The main purpose of tracer study is to trace, examine, and evaluate the
student with the current and subsequent career of employment patterns of
graduates from the institution of learning. The results and findings of this study
will contribute to repository particularly in the pursuit of knowledge to improve
educational practices and also beneficial to various authorities and individuals.
Collection of data will be done by distribution of Graduates Tracer Instrument
(GTI) that will serve as the questionnaire in a Normative Survey. This research
instrument will be validated by the campus Director. We will first identify our
respondents specifically the BSFi-Graduates of RSU-Sta. Maria. Then we will
make questionnaires followed by the distribution to the respondents through
personal and phone interviews, online messaging through facebook and chatting.
Then when the data are already gathered, answers will be tallied and tabulated
by the use of statistical tool expressed by this formula: P=n/N100; P=
percentage; n= number of graduates; N= number of cases; 100= constant.

ABSTRACT
This experimental study entitled Culture of Seaweeds (Kappaphycus
alvarezii) using Hanging Longline Method at Different Water Levels will be
conducted to seek answers to the following questions:
1. What is the water level best for seaweeds culture using hanging longline
method?
2. What are the factors that affect the growth of seaweeds culture in different
water level?
3. Is this method of culture using hanging longline method at different water
levels will promote higher production and economic importance of
seaweeds?
This study is important for it will give information and additional knowledge to
many people especially to the fisherfolks, fisheries students, future researchers
and also to the community.
It was conducted to determine the growth rate and survival rate of seaweeds
using three (3) treatments (5m, 8m and 10m water levels) with initial weight of 6
kg in every treatments replicated three times with the total of 18 kg, each
treatment will be having 30 ties of seaweed seedlings and each replication have
10 ties. Seaweed seedling will be cut and weighed into 200 grams each with the
12 inches distance interval using hanging longline method at Tugdan, Alcantara,
Romblon from November 28, 2015 to January 12, 2016. The culture period will
be having a total of 45 days and samplings will be conducted every 15 days.
The computed data will be analyze and computed using the AW (average
weight) and expressed in this formula MW=TW/MS; ABW= FW-IW/IW100 and
F- test to determine the statistical differences among treatments in terms of
growth and production.
