PERSONAL CARE KITS

The very simple gesture of giving a Personal
Care Kit can give someone the nudge to start
anew, starting with a bath. You can share
Gods grace and love by providing that simple
comfort.
Please stop by the washtub in the west
hallway for additional information and a
shopping list for your purchases!

Sign up now for summer camp @ Carol

Joy Holling Camp in Ashland, NE. For
more information, grab a flyer in the west
hallway.
Throughout the week at camp, we will
learn what it looks like to be a follower of
Jesus. In a world telling us that we need
the biggest and the best to succeed, and
that only the strong will prevail Jesus
shows us a completely different way of
living.

Your special offerings to 2016 ELCA World

Hunger 40 Days of Giving are now being
collected in the glass box in the rear of the
sanctuary. Our goal is to raise $2,000 for
World Hunger in addition to our regular
offerings.

FEBRUARY COUNCIL HIGHLIGHTS

The St. Johns Council received an update on the
completion of phases one and two to the sound
system at their February 17th meeting. In addition,
the council approved moving forward with additional
microphones and associated equipment for worship
and also committed to preventative repairs on the
organ. The Mikes and Pipes fundraiser will be
starting soon to pay for the projects but they needed
to move forward to save additional expense.
The Council approved the addition of a Marriage
Policy Statement that came out of the Coming
Together meetings held last year. The new policy
retains the current practice for the clergy of the
church to make the decision as to who they will
marry in services at St. John's.
Council members also selected the committee or
committees on which they will serve this year.
A complete copy of the minutes is available by
mail or email by contacting the church office.

Saturday mornings starting March 19th (unless its
raining). Join us up at Skyview Lake at 9 AM
meeting at the playground equipment and we will
walk around the lake. Bring your kids, strollers,
scooters, or pets along for the walk. Lets have
some fun walking and getting to know each other!
