“Budget Proposals (2010-11)”

A Technical Forum,
Finance Budget is the most important event carrying significant impact on the economy of any
country. It explores potentials and weaknesses of the economy with reference to growth, investment,
employment, poverty alleviation and inequalities of distribution of wealth.
In order to formulate the proposals regarding budget and economic policies for the financial year
2010-11, ICMAP Lahore Branch Council has decided to organize a Technical Forum of ICMAP Members.
As it is quite discernible that Management Accountants are serving in almost every sector of the
economy and knows in-depth problems of businesses and can suggest better measures to Government
while preparing the forthcoming budget and allied policies.
In this forum you can contribute by sharing your views, giving formal presentation or submitting the
attached budget proposal form. This forum will also provide you an opportunity to enhance your
knowledge by airing the opinions of other learned members. In order to capitalize the vision and
efforts of Management Accountants, the Journal & Publications Committee of the Institute has
decided to exclusively compile such sector-wise Pre-Budget Proposals which to be later submitted to
Ministry of Finance, Government of Pakistan. The Committee will ensure to endorse the copy of same
to all Parliamentarians, Ministers, Secretaries, Presidents of Chambers, Chairmen of Trade Associations
and other Stakeholders so they may also be apprised with the recommendations and suggestions. The
deliberations of this forum are expected to generate those pragmatic ideas and useful insights, which
will certainly pave the way towards a truly sustainable policy paradigm.
If you are desired to let your voice be heard in the corridors of our rulers or want to lobbying for your
sector through giving some formal presentation and submitting the attached budget proposal forms,
please contact with Chairmen RD & P - Technical Support Committees, Lahore Branch Council not later
than April 17, 2010.
