which is
aimed at

sharing
the
Gospel of
the Lord
Jesus

Christ
with
unbelieve

remindin

g
Christian
s, in this
important
election

year, to
keep the
main
thing the
main

thing -and that

is
reaching
unbelieve

the
Gospel of
the Lord
Jesus

Christ
and
praying
for their
salvation,

for the
problem
in
America
is not

only
disobedie
nt
president
s,

politician
s, and
people,
but
disobedie

nt
pastors,
preacher
s, and
parishion

ers who
have
refused
to obey
the

Lords
Great
Commiss
ion which
is to, Go

ye into all
the
world,
and
preach

the
gospel to
every
creature.
and

who have
refused
to obey
God's
repeated

comman
ds to
"pray
without
ceasing"

for
unbelieve
rs,
believers,
and

political
leaders.
Yes, you
should
pray for

the right
candidate
to win;
yes, you
should

vote for
the
candidate
that the
Lord

gives you
peace
about
voting
for. But,

don't get
caught
up in it
like the
world

does.
Nothing
much is
going to
change

until
people
get saved
and get
their

hearts
right with
the Lord.

This
campaign
is
inspired
by the

following
three
verses: 1
Corinthia
ns 2:2

which
says,
"For I
determin
ed not to

know
anything
among
you, save
Jesus

Christ,
and him
crucified.
" Acts
5:42

which
says,
"And
daily in
the

temple,
and in
every
house,
they

ceased
not to
teach and
preach
Jesus

Christ."
And 2
Timothy
2:4 which
says, "No

man that
warreth
entanglet
h himself
with the

affairs of
this life;
that he
may
please

him who
hath
chosen
him to be

a
soldier."
This
series is

not for
Christian
s
necessari
ly.

However,
I do hope
you are
one of
those

saints
who still
loves to
hear the
"Old, old

story of
Jesus
and His
love" -As

another
hymn
says,
"For
those

who
know it
best
Seem
hungerin

g and
thirsting
to hear it
like the
rest."

This
series is
primarily
for
unbelieve

rs, so
they can
hear and
understa
nd the

Gospel
and be
saved
from sin
and the

punishm
ent of sin
which is
hell. This
is

message
number
63.
Adam

Clarke
said,
"The
grand
obstacle

to the
salvation
of the
scribes
and

Pharisee
s was
their
pride,
vanity,

and selflove.
They
lived on
each

other's
praise. If
they had
acknowle
dged

Christ as
the only
teacher,
they
would

have had
to give
up the
good
opinion

of the
multitude
; and
they
chose

rather to
lose their
souls
than to
forfeit

their
reputatio
n among
men!"

Jesus
continue
s His
rebuke of
the

Jewish
religious
leaders
for their
refusal to

believe in
Him.
As we
mentione

d
yesterday
, Jesus
anticipate
d that the

Jews
would try
to accuse
Him of
only

seeking
glory for
Himself.
However,
He

reminds
them, "I
am come
in my
Father's

name,
and ye
receive
me not."
Jesus

came
preachin
g the
kingdom
of God.

He came
healing
people in
the name
of God.

He came
telling
people
that
through

Him, they
could
have a
relations
hip with

God.
Repeated
ly, He
said
things

such as,
"The Son
of man
came not
to be

ministere
d unto,
but to
minister,
and to

give his
life a
ransom
for
many."

Jesus did
not come
to Earth
seeking
the glory

of men.
In fact,
He set
aside His
glory and

took on
feeble,
vulnerabl
e human
flesh in

order that
He might
bring us
to God.
Jesus did

not come
in His
own
name.
There

was no
ego or
pride in
His
mission,

yet the
Jews
rejected
Him as
the

suffering
servant.
Jesus
continue

s, "If
another
shall
come in
his own

name,
him ye
will
receive."
The Jews

would
receive a
man who
came
boasting

about
himself
and his
own
accompli

shments.
Many
scholars
believe
that

Jesus is
referring
to the
Antichrist
here. One

day, the
Antichrist
-- the
Satanempower

ed
opponent
of Jesus
in the last
days --

will make
a deal
with the
Jewish
people,

promisin
g them
protectio
n from
their

enemies,
and the
Jews will
put their
trust in

him.
Unlike
Jesus,
the
Antichrist

will come
in his
own
name,
boasting

of his
own
abilities,
and
seeking

his own
glory and
praise.
Unlike
Jesus

who said
He did
not need
man's
praise,

the
Antichrist
will
demand
to be

worshipp
ed.
Why
does this

take
place?
Why are
the Jews
willing to

believe
someone
like the
Antichrist
or some

other
great
one, yet
reject
someone

like
Jesus
Christ?
With His
next

words,
Jesus
again
reveals
the deep

motives
of their
hearts.
He says,
"How can

ye
believe,
which
receive
honour

one of
another,
and seek
not the
honour

that
cometh
from God
only?"

Jesus
pointed
to their
religious
practices

once
again.
The Jews
were
fond of

praying
loudly on
street
corners
or in the

high
places of
the
Temple
where

they
could be
seen and
heard by
others.

They
loved to
wait until
a crowd
was

around
before
they
dropped
their tithe

money
into the
treasury
box in
the

Temple.
They
loved to
announc
e the

good
deeds
and
charitabl
e work

that they
did.
Why?
They
wanted

men to
see what
they were
doing
and

praise
them for
it. They
desired
to be

seen as
good,
righteous
, and
holy.

They
liked the
complime
nts they
got from

others
and the
honor
and
respect

that
others
showed
to them.
This is

why they
did not
want to
believe in
and

follow
Jesus.
Many
times

througho
ut Jesus'
career,
immediat
ely after

He
performe
da
miracle,
He would

tell the
person
He had
helped
not to go

and tell
anyone
what He
had
done. As

He did
with the
man at
the Pool
of

Bethesda
, Jesus
quickly
removed
Himself

from the
crowd
after the
wonderfu
l healing

had taken
place. He
was not
looking
for man's

praise or
glory.
Instead
of

seeking
the glory
and
honor
that came

from
men,
what the
Jews
should

have
been
trying to
obtain
was the

honor
that
comes
from God
alone.

They
should
have
been
seeking

God's
approval
rather
than
man's

approval.
And the
only way
to receive
God's

approval
is by
accepting
His Son,
Jesus

Christ.
John 1:12
says,
"But as
many as

received
him, to
them
gave he
power to

become
the sons
of God,
even to
them that

believe
on his
name."

Are you
ready to
lay aside
pride,
power

and
position
to trust
Jesus
Christ.

Are you
ready to
believe
on the
name of

Jesus
today?
Here is
how you
can place

your faith
and trust
in Him:

1. Accept
the fact
that you
are a
sinner,

and that
you have
broken
God's
law. The

Bible
says in
Ecclesias
tes 7:20:
"For

there is
not a just
man
upon
earth that

doeth
good,
and
sinneth
not."

Romans
3:23
reads:
"For all
have

sinned
and come
short of
the glory
of God."

In fact, I
am the
chief of
sinners,
so don't

think that
you're
alone.

2. Accept
the fact
that there
is a
penalty

for sin.
The Bible
states in
Romans
6:23:

"For the
wages of
sin is
death"

3. Accept
the fact
that you
are on
the road

to hell.
Jesus
Christ
said in
Matthew

10:28:
"And fear
not them
which kill
the body,

but are
not able
to kill the
soul: but
rather

fear him
which is
able to
destroy
both soul

and body
in hell."
The Bible
says in
Revelatio

n 21:8:
"But the
fearful,
and
unbelievi

ng, and
the
abomina
ble, and
murderer

s, and
whoremo
ngers
and
sorcerers

, and
idolaters,
and all
liars,
shall

have
their part
in the
lake
which

burneth
with fire
and
brimston
e: which

is the
second
death."

4. Accept
the fact
that you
cannot
do

anything
to save
yourself!
The Bible
states in

Ephesian
s 2: 8, 9:
"For by
grace are
ye saved

through
faith: and
that not
of
yourselve

s: it is a
gift of
God. Not
of works,
lest any

man
should
boast."

5. Accept
the fact
that God
loves you
more

than you
love
yourself,
and that
He wants

to save
you from
hell.
Jesus
Christ

said in
John
3:16, "For
God so
loved the

world,
that He
gave His
only
begotten

Son, that
whosoev
er
believeth
in Him

should
not
perish,
but have

everlastin
g life."
6. With
these

facts in
mind,
please
repent of
your

sins,
believe
on the
Lord
Jesus

Christ
and pray
and ask
Him to
come

into your
heart and
save you
this very
moment.

The Bible
states in
the book
of
Romans

10:9, 13:
"That if
thou
shalt
confess

with thy
mouth
the Lord
Jesus,
and shalt

believe in
thine
heart that
God hath
raised

Him from
the dead,
thou
shalt be
saved."

"For
whosoev
er shall
call upon
the name

of the
Lord
shall be
saved."

Dear
friend, if
you are
willing to
believe

on the
Lord
Jesus
Christ for
salvation,

please
pray with
me this
simple
prayer:

Heavenly
Father, I
realize
that I am
a sinner

and that I
have
done
some bad
things in

my life.
For
Jesus
Christ
sake,

please
forgive
me of my
sins. I
now

believe
with all of
my heart
that
Jesus

Christ
died for
me, was
buried,
and rose

again.
Lord
Jesus,
please
come

into my
heart and
save my
soul and
change

my life
today.
Amen.

If you
believed
in your
heart that
Jesus

Christ
died on
the
cross,
was

buried,
and rose
again,
allow me
to say,

congratul
ations on
doing the
most
important

thing in
life and
that is
accepting
Jesus

Christ as
your Lord
and
Saviour!
