BUSINESS EXPERIENCE

CONSULTANT - Senior Consulting Geophysicist

Houston, TX

September 2015-present

Achieved superior prospect evaluation to help de-risk wildcat-drilling targets on an offshore Nigeria block working
at a client site for Sharp Reflections. Succeeded in mapping AVO anomalies which suggested reservoired oil using
intercept-gradient cross-plots extracted from interpreted AVO horizons to determine optimal Chi angle for each
prospect and created Chi-angle volumes on Class 2 / 2P reflections. Leveraged ability to use poststack-conditioned
3D-seismic PSTM migrated gathers in Sharp Reflections PrestackPro application and high-end hardware.

AFREN RESOURCES Senior Advisor - Geophysics

Houston, TX

2012-August 2015

Development Geophysicist and company technical lead responsible for interpreting PSTM and new PSDM seismic
over a new oilfield development project offshore Nigeria, and using Jason Geosystems programs to tie wells and
invert the seismic volumes to seismic impedance over four oilfields onshore and offshore Nigeria. The results of this
work improved the development oil well locations on three of the projects. Seismic inversion experience was gained
over six projects at several reservoir layers.

Recommended and oversaw the seismic processing of three PSDM projects. This involved analyzing misties to
depth well markers to determine the best delta factor for the processors to use in anisotropic epsilon scans.
Recommended and oversaw a large converted-wave processing and inversion project intended to provide superior
fluid reservoir information over three blocks offshore Nigeria. The results which are pending will produce volumes
of VpVs, LambdaRho, and MuRho seismic attributes to help identify reservoired oil, gas, and water.
As lead geophysicist duties included mentoring staff in geophysical techniques including interpretation criteria for
faulting, reflector identification by synthetics, and Petrel depth conversion.

ARAMCO Geophysical Specialist

Dhahran, Saudi Arabia

2000-2011

Development Geophysicist responsible for interpreting recently-acquired 3D-seismic volumes over three supergiant
oil fields located both onshore and offshore Saudi Arabia. Primary duties are to map structure and characterize the
reservoirs' porosity using Landmark and Jason applications. Development-well drilling locations were picked as a
team using the 3D-seismic time-structure and seismic impedance, depth-converted and corrected to well tops.
Awarded Aramcos Geophysicist of the Year in 2004 for seismic interpretation and fast turnaround of inversionto-acoustic-impedance work on two of these projects which produced timely and outstanding results.
Completed all aspects of the geophysical work, usually without help from technical support groups. Inverted the
seismic volumes to create seismic impedance on all projects using Jason applications. This involved cross-plotting
well-log data in reservoir zones to establish correlative relationships, making dozens of synthetic well-ties to provide
a robust initial low-frequency model, extracting many wavelets which were averaged and tested, setting parameters
and accomplishing the inversion. Cross-plots of seismic impedance results vs. filtered well-log impedance and
porosity demonstrated an excellent correlation, so the results were depth-scaled and input to geocellular models.
One of the projects is held up as the most successful seismic contributions in Aramco because the porosity model
was improved so much that oil simulation realizations match production histories in the Field.
Presented a seismic talk at the 2004 EAGE Conference.

INEXS (INTERACTIVE EXPLN SOLUTIONS) - Geophysicist

Houston, TX 1999-2000

Participated in exploration projects with various client companies on both Landmark and SMT platforms.Worked
projects all along the shallow shelf Louisiana offshore and Mustang Is. area offshore Texas.

PENNZOIL COMPANY - Geophysical Advisor

Houston, TX

1998-1999

Generated and gained approval to drill an explorary well in St. Mary Psh., S. Louisiana which found an estimated 10
BCF gas and tested 13 MMCFD from the Zenor A-15 well. Recognized geophysically and geologically, generated,
mapped on a 3-D seismic dataset, evaluated and recommended drilling this discovery.Generated and gained
approval to drill a deep exploratory well which found approximately 25 BCF gas in St. Mary Psh., S. Louisiana.
Accomplished all aspects of geological and geophysical evaluation through presenting the drilling recommendation.
The well was drilled in late 1999.
Accomplished all geophysical interpretation work in the Atchafalaya Basin project area onshore Louisiana including
synthetic well-ties to the 3D and 2D data, interpreting the fault pattern, mapping the time structure, extracting
amplitudes in windows of time around objective horizons, modeling amplitude response, and converting 3D time
structure to depth structure using a velocity model. Integrated depth-converted fault surface maps, tied to well cuts,
with depth contours to adjust fault polygons for final depth maps and volumetric calculations.Accomplished all
geological project work including well log correlation / missing section determinations, net sand calculations, gross
and net sand maps, net pay isochore mapping, porosity estimates, volumetric calculations and reserve estimates.

ZYDECO ENERGY, INC. - Chief Geophysicist

Houston, TX

1995-1998

Generated five prospects which were drilled as commercial discoveries in the Transition Zone of S. Louisiana.
Generated numerous other prospects and leads with partner geologist in several offshore areas along the Louisiana
Gulf Coast ranging from Ship Shoal, Atchafalaya Bay, W. Cameron and W. Delta using Landmark programs.
Employed several 3D geophysical techniques including time-slice and vertical section fault integration, generating
horizon slices, making horizons from the gridding of manually picked horizons in poor-data areas, autotracking
seed points where appropriate, and extracting amplitudes in time windows.Presented prospect packages to dealscreeners individually and at the No. Am. Prospect Expo.

LANDMARK GRAPHICS - Geophysicist

Houston, TX

1994-1995

Resident expert to Houston-based seismic interpreters for all of Landmarks geophysical programs. Achieved four
Landmark Corporate Certifications demonstrating exceptional knowledge of the techniques to find oil and gas.

AMOCO PROD. CO. - Senior Geologist Houston, TX

1981-1994

Gained approval to drill exploratory wells which found commercial gas of more than 1 TCF reserves in the Dutch
North Sea. Commercial gas from the five fields went on stream at rates exceeding 100 MMCFD in late 1993.
Recommended drilling a prospect offshore Trinidad which was a 100 MMBOE discovery that tested 2000 BCPD
and 100 MMCFD gas. The well discovered Flamboyant Field. Also mapped Teak and Samaan Fields.Gained
approval to drill a wildcat well which found 100 MMBOE reserves and tested 1800 BOPD offshore Melbourne,
Australia. The well discovered Yolla Field which was sold to the Australian government in 1990. Coordinated a
team of New-Ventures explorationists who conducted a regional study of Yemen. The team found a string of
attractive prospects in a newly-identified trend and Amocos strategy focused on acquiring acreage to take
advantage of the play concept that the team had identified.Selected for and accepted a two-year foreign assignment
