corrections where needed, and structure reserve and operating accounts.
y Amended Bylaws Section 4.11, Voting, to delete requirements for non-Association solicited proxies.
y Approved a contract with SDI/IKerkim LLC, for single stream collection, disposal and recycling of solid waste, effective June 1, 2010,

y Deferred action on a proposal to add items to the Strategic Plan and a proposal to open a Lake Reserve investment account.

CLEARING LEAVES AND DEBRIS FROM CULVERTS is the smart thing to do to avoid erosion and damage to driveways, drainage
ditches and roads. But most importantly, it helps prevent silt and sediment buildup in our lake and keeps it healthier for all of us to
enjoy.

INFORMATION ABOUT ANNUAL MEETING AGENDA ITEMS: The 38th Annual Meeting of LMOA Members is coming up on June
26. In addition to the election of two directors from a field of four candidates, the Board is submitting a proposal to increase the
member contribution to reserves with a $108 dues increase. The Notice of Annual Meeting, which includes information about both
agenda items and the Proxy for advance voting, will be mailed to property owners on or about May 26. In the meantime, there are
other opportunities to learn more about the Board proposal and the election of directors.
¾ The Board’s dues increase proposal and the Board’s statement in support of the proposal have been posted on the
website at www.lmoa.org under Library, Board of Directors meetings, 38th Annual Meeting.
¾ President Leighton Cumming and Treasurer Mike Harrison will talk about the merits of the dues increase proposal as
guests of “This Week at the Lake” beginning on Thurs., May 6, at 7PM on cable channel 10 and will be repeated through Wed., May
12, at 9AM and 7PM daily.
¾ The Broadcast Group will begin airing individual candidate interviews on channel 10 on Thurs., May 13, at 7PM. The interviews
continue through May 19 at 9AM and 7PM daily.
¾ The Broadcast Group will present a Candidate Forum on May 20, at 7PM in the Terrace Room, when Board candidates will
answer questions submitted in writing by residents, in advance or during the Forum. Send advance questions to Peggy Alexander at
the Administration Office or email to palexander@lmoa.org. The Forum will be broadcast on channel 10, live from the Terrace Room.
No questions will be taken from the floor. All residents are welcome to attend the Forum.
¾ The Spring/Summer 2010 issue of the Lake Monticello News will be delivered to mailbox cubbyholes near the end of May. The
issue will include information about both the candidates and the dues increase proposal, as well as other news and information.
