The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe Journals

Chapter 1
I know the time period in which this movie was set in so I got a
good idea of the historical context of it, which is nice. I also have seen
the movie so it will be very interesting to see what are the differences
between the two and to see how Hollywood has changed this famous
story. So far there really isnt any differences, I could be wrong because
I havent seen the movie in a while but

Chapter 2
This makes me so excited. I love the idea of a whole land behind
a simple wardrobe. What made C.S. Lewis think of that? Its such a
great fantasyland. Also Im excited that Mr. Tumnus is in the story, it
didn't take very long for him to show up, but Im glad he did. His
friendship with Lucy is just so sweet and loyal I love it.

Chapter 3
For the longest time I couldn't comprehend the time difference
between Narnia and the world outside the wardrobe, until I read this
chapter. I started thinking of this book in its allegorical sense, and
realized that the reason time barely passes when she comes out of the

wardrobe is because in the Bible it says a day is like 1000 years. I

mean that may not be correct but it makes sense and Im so glad I
thought of it.
Chapter 4
I really want to try Turkish delight. I didn't even know that was a
real thing until about a year or two after I saw the movie. The movie
makes it look so amazing but then I see pictures of it and it doesn't
look all that jazzy. I don't care though I still want to try it and reading
the book makes me want to try it even more.

Chapter 5
Edmund is so annoying. Honestly hes so prideful that he decides
to lie about going to Narnia. And then he still teases Lucy about it and
is so mean to her. It even made her cry. Just why would he do that?
Thats such a mean sibling right there, and its not like Lucys big or
anything shes probably somewhere between 10 to 12 if that. Hes just
so mean to her and its so unnecessary.

Chapter 6
Now the real adventure begins, Im so glad theyre all finally in
Narnia. Im glad that Susan and Peter are mad at Edmund for lying
because he totally deserves the shame. Hes just the worst. Then,

when they go to the house it makes me so sad because I know he was

practically tortured and then turned into a statue, which is very sad.

Chapter 8
Its very exciting news that Aslan is back; finally Narnia has
Christmas back and the winter will go away. Also though, in this
chapter Edmund continues being just the worst. Why is he the only kid
with problems? All of the other Pevensie children are fine but Edmund
has all the problems and he just annoys me so much.

Chapter 9
Edmund is stupid. He has so much reason to believe that the
White Witch is evil but he chooses not to believe it and just thinks what
he wants to think. Hes just so greedy and its very annoying. I don't
like Edmund very much, but thats just my opinion on his character.

Chapter 10
It is such good news that Father Christmas is allowed back into
Narnia. Things are starting to turn around, and the Witchs power is
starting to weaken, which is very good. I am also happy that their
journey of finding Aslan is coming toward a near end because I love
Aslan and I cant wait until he comes into the story.

Chapter 11
Finally, Edmund realizes he was wrong. Its about time. It took
him a very large portion of the book to realize that the White Witch is
called the White Witch for a reason. I am so glad that Edmund finally
realizes that she is evil and he can go on fighting on the good side of
the battle.

Chapter 12
So far Hollywood has done a really good job of maintaining the
true script of the book. I mean there really havent been many things,
if any that are different. Im glad that they did that because this book is
very good and the movie is just a phenomenal picture of it. Also, I love
Peters bravery in this chapter. It really starts to stick out here, because
he was scared and nervous to attack the wolf but he did it anyway and
ended up killing it.

Chapter 13
If Edmund had been killed I honestly wouldn't have been
surprised. There really isnt that much to his character except the
Turkish delight, which I still want to try. However, if he did get killed I
would say that he had it coming. I mean look at all hes done acting in

his own self-interest and betraying those he loves. So if he did get

killed, I feel like the story wouldn't have changed much except for the
whole prophecy thing.

Chapter 14
I hate this chapter so much. I knew it was coming, because I
have seen the movie, and I hate it so much. It is just so sad. Aslan
could have defeated all of those creatures up there mocking him and
torturing him, but he just sat there and took it like such a savior and it
makes me even more sad that that is was Jesus had to go through. He
had the full on ability to defeat all those who criticized him and
tortured him but he knew what must be done so he went through with
it all because he loves us and I am truly grateful for that.

Chapter 15
The Witch is honestly such a Witch. I mean really, she just killed
her biggest threat and she decides still to kill the children? That
doesn't make any sense at all. If you look at it she is killing them
because she feels threatened by them with the whole prophecy and
such, but without Aslan none of those things could have come true. Its
not like they were some magical creatures that has special powers to
kill her, theyre just humans they wouldn't have been able to do

anything without Aslan. It was just so unnecessary of her to go try and

kill Edmund and the others after she killed the almighty Aslan.

Chapter 16
Yay Mr. Tumnus is back and all of the other petrified creatures.
Now they can all go to the battlefield and beat the evil creatures. Also
Giant Rumblebuffin seems so cute. I don't know why this randomly
popped up in my head while reading this chapter but it did. He just
seems like that friendly giant that is so sweet all the time and just like
one massive teddy bear. I just wish he were real so I could meet him.

Chapter 17
As usual, good wins. Good always wins because we have the
stronger force on our side. Nothing can compare to the power of Aslan,
or in real life terms, God. This was such a good book and Im glad I got
to read it its like all my childhood memories all coming back from
when the movie came out and it was all the rage. Im definitely going
to be keeping it and reading it again.
