Company name: Karvy Stock Broking Limited

KSBL has given me the opportunity to work and get experience in highly competitive and
enhancing sector. My SIP helped me to learn about the stock market, the daily happenings of
price movements etc. the project is based on secondary data various tools are being used to
analyse the companies and market.
During the eight weeks of internship, I have watched the happenings of the stock market
and observed the daily proceedings of a stock broking firm. We were given ample opportunity to
learn and understand the company that is Karvy, and its various services. This report has been
prepared on the topic that was given to me. Fundamental analysis being one of the basic
foundation of stock analysis, prediction and valuation, thus is a must for a student of finance.
While writing this report and during the course of my internship, I learned a lot and this report
has certainly added a lot of value in me.
Apart from fundamental analysis, this report consists of the information about the Karvy
group as a whole, its various subsidiaries, all the departments and their services. With this, the
report also includes a brief about the Karvy branch of Dilsukhnagar.

ABSTRACT

The project starts with the brief review about Fundaments analysis. We try to monitor the current
scenario of the country by reading and understanding various aspects. After monitoring the
economy of the country we decide to study various industries. The industries taken for this
project are Oil & Gas Industry and Two wheeler automobiles. Within each sector one company is
taken. In Oil & Gas Industry the company taken is ONGC, and in Two-wheeler segment it is
Hero Honda. In industry analysis the background of the industry is taken into consideration, with
that the Current scenario of the industry according to the Indian context. Then we take a look
into the Demand Side of the industry according to the Indian perspective. Similarly we take a
look into the Supply Side which depends a lot on the economic conditions of the country as well
as the global scenario. Pricing is also taken into consideration, which depends on the type of the
industry whether it is a public sector or private sector. If it is a public sector then there is quite a
hold of government on that company. What are the major trends of the industry, along with the
revenue drivers are studied so as to get a clear picture of that industry.
A global scenario is also taken into picture and a clear comparison is made between India and the
world. We take a look at the Industry Structure, how segmentation is done, how revenue is
generated from specific segment. We also take a look in to future prospects of the industry buy
looking in Demand, Supply and Prices of the products from that industry. We also take a look at
the international outlook of the industry.
