Attendance
All Students are expected to abide by the On Time All the Time Policy
(over)
Students aged 18 and over must validate their own absences
Only bused students will be excused on a bus delay or cancellation
day
Unless there are exceptional circumstances, attendance will not be
validated after 48 hours
Students demitted from class by parents/guardians must leave
TVDSB property
Dress Code
Hats are permitted in the hallways and cafeteria
No revealing clothing is permitted
No clothing with offensive or inappropriate messages is permitted
Behaviour
Students must demonstrate respect for all school property
Students must demonstrate respect (including identifying
themselves) to all adults
No photos, videos or audio recording of others without appropriate
consent
Only the appropriate use of electronic devices is permitted
The use of profanity, spoken or written, is not acceptable
Smoking and the use of tobacco products are illegal on school
property
Assessment and Evaluation
See the reverse for the late and missed assignment policy
All students must write their exams on the scheduled day
Plagiarism and academic dishonesty may result in a mark of zero
Extracurricular Participation
Regular attendance, as per OTATT, is required for all extracurricular
participation
Student fees must be paid in order to be eligible for all
extracurricular participation
Dance admission is subject to meeting attendance requirements and
admin approval
School Usage
All students are required to complete the computer use agreement

Student parking is a privilege, not a right, and must be done only in
the student parking lot
Students are responsible for all school materials loaned to them
Students must be in their assigned locker

If you are LATE coming to school:

Get an Admit Slip/Sign in at the Office

If you are ABSENT from school:

Parent/Guardian to call School Attendance Line

If you must LEAVE school early:

Go to the office with note from parent/guardian


Go to the office to contact a parent/guardian

10 invalid absences and/or 15 invalid lates = inelig

Late and Missed Assignments

Academic dishonesty or truancy, particularly on the day of a test or evaluation, may result in a m
zero being assigned.
For major assignments, mark deductions may apply.
These are:

10% of the graded mark for the 1 st school day


5% of the graded mark for each subsequent school day to a maximum of 30%
