FiberHome S3500 series switch is a kind of new generation carrier-grade intelligent Ethernet switch to fit
into operators demand of multi-service access. S3500 features strong layer-2/layer-3 protocols, autoswitching protection, selective QinQ, multicast, advanced QoS, high security and great support for
Ethernet OAM, MEF in network management. FiberHome S3500 series switch, by its environmentalfriendly character and ROHS compliant, plays a vital role in different network applications, including Metro
network, residential area, enterprise, campus, etc., in a cost effective way.
Designed with 1U chassis (19 inch), S3500 series switch family includes S3528, S3528F, S3552, S3552F
and S3552-24F family members.

Benefits and Features
Car rier Ether net Technology
Other than traditional spanning-tree protocol (STP/RSTP/MSTP), S3500 series switches support
G.8032, R-LINK, BFD, VRRP technologies to build-up ring/tree-type topologies that offer auto switching
protection within 50ms. The industry-level design is also applied into S3500 series switch to improve
physical reliability & usability.
Miscellaneous ser vice suppor t and management function
S3500 series switch support VLAN demarcation based on different fields, VLAN mapping, selective
QinQ, packet classification based on port/VLAN/traffic flow, which fulfill flexible service differentiation.
S3500 support extended ACL (L2 L4), rate limit, priority schedule, mapping as well as flexible
queues scheduling algorithm.
S3500 support rich multicast protocols, including IGMPv1/v2/v3, IGMP Snooping, IGMP Proxy, IGMP
Filter, IGMP Fast Leave, PIM-SIM, inter-VLAN multicast duplication, etc.
Advanced QoS
Up to 8 priorities per port can be supported. Diffserv is able to classify the services based on source
MAC, destination MAC, source IP and TCP/UDP port. S3500 support port, flow and VLAN based rate limit,
support SP/PQ, RR, WRR, DRR, SP/PQ+WRR, SP/PQ+DRR and WRED.
High Security
S3500 has protection mechanism to prevent network from attacking, such as broadcast storm control,
anti-ARP, black hole MAC, URPF, IP Source Guard, CPU protection, etc. Besides, thanks to AAA and
multi-level access privileges, user-binding (port+MAC+IP based), port isolation, the switch can stop away
unauthorized users and ACL can also contribute to the attack protection.
Rich management function
S3500 series switch offer proactive monitoring capabilities via built-in RMON, and support Ethernet
OAM, MEF9, MEF14, LLDP, loop-back testing advanced network management functionalities as well.
With SNMP based NM mode, multiple S3500s can be unified managed under FiberHome Wview NM
platform.
